Hyundai revolutionizes the world of electric cars with autonomous robots

Hyundai takes a big step towards future technology and presents innovative robots that can not only park electric cars, but also charge them.

Hyundai’s autonomous parking and charging robots

The Hyundai Motor Group has introduced new robots at its smart office building in Seoul. These robots provide innovative services that make the use of electric cars much easier. The DAL-e Delivery Robot and the Parking Robot are the latest developments that could revolutionize daily life.

DAL-e Delivery Robot

The DAL-e Delivery Robot can autonomously navigate around the building and deliver drinks and other small items to office workers. Equipped with advanced facial recognition technology, the robot can identify recipients and complete the delivery accurately. The technology enables almost error-free identification with an accuracy of 99.9%.

Parking robot

The Hyundai WIA parking robot can park vehicles autonomously. With the ability to maneuver vehicles in tight spaces, this robot optimizes the use of available parking space. This is particularly useful in crowded urban environments where lack of space is often a problem.

Hyundai has also developed a Smart Parking Control System that can control up to 50 parking robots simultaneously. This system facilitates efficient navigation of the robots and ensures optimal distribution of the vehicles.

Automatic charging robot

The parking robot works together with the Automatic Charging Robot (ACR) to charge electric vehicles. The ACR identifies the vehicle, checks the battery status and carries out the charging process. This integration of parking and charging robots maximizes convenience for electric vehicle users.

A role model for other manufacturers?

Hyundai is setting a new standard in the automotive industry with these new robot technologies. The introduction of autonomous parking and charging robots could fundamentally change the way we use electric vehicles.
