IFA: Electric Rollers Are Not Permitted to Be Used

Electric scooters are also becoming more and more popular in this country. At the IFA, which is dedicated to technical innovations, they are prohibited – at least as a means of transport for visitors.

A spokeswoman for the International Consumer Electronics Fair explained that the use of electric scooters is not permitted on the exhibition grounds for safety reasons. The ban does not only apply to scooters, but also to roller skates, inline skates, skateboards, Segways and similar means of transport. However, there are exceptions: Employees, exhibitors and journalists may use the popular scooters on the exhibition grounds in exceptional cases.

The IFA opens on 6 September and presents various new products from the entertainment and household electronics sectors.
