JBL Quantum 810 and JBL Quantum 610: New gaming headsets

With the JBL Quantum 810 and JBL Quantum 610, two new gaming headsets from the audio professionals are now on sale. Both over-ear headsets are said to feature clear sound and surround sound, and the 810 even has an ANC function.

JBL Quantum 810 and JBL Quantum 610 in detail

The two new gaming headsets, the JBL Quantum 810 and JBL Quantum 610, rely on JBL QuantumSURROUND and DTS Headphone:X version 2.0 to provide three-dimensional surround sound. In the JBL Quantum 810, the manufacturer relies on Hi-Res drivers with a diameter of 50 mm, thanks to which even the smallest acoustic details are represented.

The headset also transmits wirelessly in the 2.4 GHz band with low latency or via Bluetooth in the current version 5.2 to enable stable audio transmission even over longer distances.

A separate sound card with Discord-certified controls lets you set the perfect balance between gaming and chat audio in the headset. The directional voice-focused boom mic with flip-up mute and echo cancellation is also said to ensure clear communication. Another special feature: the Quantum 810 offers active noise cancellation (ANC).

RGB lighting and connectivity

The JBL Quantum 810 and JBL Quantum 610 also offer stylish RGB lighting. The lightweight, durable headband and comfortable, leather-wrapped memory foam ear cushions are said to keep you comfortable over the long haul.

Wirelessly, the headsets are compatible with PC, PS5 and PS4 as well as Nintendo Switch thanks to a 2.4 GHz receiver. Thanks to the Bluetooth function, the 810 also connects to mobile devices. Optionally, the headsets can also be used via 3.5 mm jack with PC, Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, Mac and VR headsets.

The headsets are fine-tuned via the JBL QuantumENGINE software, which allows for extensive customization of audio and RGB lighting effects. Battery life is said to be 40 hours for the JBL Quantum 610 and 30 hours for the Quantum 810 with active ANC. The Quantum 610’s little brother will have to do without Hi-Res drivers, ANC and Bluetooth connectivity.
