Lenovo releases new tablets: Tab P11 Pro & Tab M10 HD Gen 2

Lenovo presents two new tablets, one of which is particularly powerful, while the other is aimed specifically at families or children.

Lenovo Tab P11 Pro – the tablet with power

As the name suggests, it is an 11-inch tablet, or 11.5 inches to be precise. The display has a resolution of 2K (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) and uses OLED technology, which enables particularly strong and rich colors as well as a very good black level. Accordingly, the Tab P11 Pro is also HDR10 and Dolby Vision certified.

Lenovo has not yet been satisfied with a good display, and the sound is also promising. Lenovo installs four JBL speakers with 2.5 cm chambers. These should support Dolby Atmos and thus enable a cinema-ready surround sound.

The case of the tablet is 7.7 millimeters thick at its thickest point. The lightweight aluminum alloy makes for a weight of only 485 grams.

The Tab P11 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, which also supports LTE. Depending on the version, 4 or 6 GB RAM and 128 GB flash memory are also used. The latter can be expanded by up to 256 GB with an mSD card. The battery life is up to 15 hours.

The main camera with 13 megapixel resolution is supported by a 5 megapixel ultra wide angle camera. The tablet can be unlocked by face detection and for video calls it supports automatic background blur.

The Lenovo Tab P110 Pro starts at 699 Euro and is expected to be available in November. Pen and keyboard are optionally available.

Lenovo Tab M10 HD Gen 2 – optimized for families

This is a 10.1-inch tablet with HD TDDI wide-angle display. It is also certified by TÜV Rheinland as it provides protection against blue light. Two speakers provide Dolby Atmos sound.

A special feature of this tablet is the Kids Space from Google. This is a special children’s mode that not only provides teacher-tested apps, children’s books and videos, but also allows parents to control the system via Family Link. Kids Space is best suited for children under 9 years of age.

The Tab M10 HD Gen 2 is powered by a MediaTek P22T that offers eight cores at up to 2.3 GHz. Depending on the version, 2 GB RAM and 32 GB flash memory or 4 GB RAM and 64 GB flash memory are used. LTE is also supported.

The Lenovo Tab M10 HD Gen 2 will be released in September for 159 Euro. A Smart Tab M10 HD 2nd Gen version with Google Assistant or Alexa will follow later. The Google Assistant version will be released in October for 179 Euro, the Alexa version will be available from November for 199 Euro.
