Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 gets 4,000 Hz via firmware update

Normally, a firmware update is not particularly exciting, because apart from a few bug fixes and improvements to details, the new features are usually limited. This is not the case with one of the most popular gaming mice on the market. With the new firmware update, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 has been given a polling rate of 4,000 Hz – double the previous value.

Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2: Firmware update doubles the sampling rate

With its 32,000 DPI Hero 2 sensor, a battery life of up to 95 hours, symmetrical design and a sampling rate of 2,000 Hertz, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 gaming mouse has been one of the best rodents since its release.

Now it is even better, as the manufacturer has released a firmware update that doubles the polling rate in combination with the Logitech Lightspeed USB receiver. Only up to 4,000 Hertz are possible wirelessly.

Logitech announced this in a thread on the short message service X, which deals with the extensive update of the G HUB companion software. The aim is to make the popular gaming mouse even more interesting for esports enthusiasts.

This is because the higher sampling rate improves the response behavior and latency of the wireless mouse. However, this is usually at the expense of battery life. However, specific details on the runtime with 4,000 Hz are not yet available.

Whether you can really feel this in practice will of course vary from person to person. But as the firmware update is available to download free of charge, there’s nothing to stop you from simply downloading it and trying it out.
