Logitech MX Anywhere 3: Portable mouse with fast-charging function and magnetic mouse wheel

Logitech relaunches its popular MX Anywhere. The portable mouse now comes with a magnetic mouse wheel and a USB-C fast-charging function. Thanks to its reliable sensor, the small mouse can even be used on glass surfaces.

Tried and tested in a new look

The MX Anywhere 3 has a lot to offer. For example, manufacturer Logitech has given the little rodent a magnetic mouse wheel, which is supposed to ensure fast and precise scrolling. You can use the mouse really everywhere. After all, a sensor is used here that makes it possible to use the mouse on almost any surface. Logitech is clearly relying on its very popular predecessor – the MX Anywhere 2S. Like its successor, it offered a wide range of connection options. Thus one can decide with the MX Anywhere 3 again between a Bluetooth connection and a connection by Unifying USB dongle. At the touch of a button, you can easily switch back and forth between two devices. This makes the MX Anywhere the perfect mouse for multiple devices. Logitech is not just talking about a PC or notebook. Apple’s iPad can also be controlled very easily with the MX Anywhere 3.

Thanks to its powerful sensor, the mouse can be used on almost any surface.

Technical Highlights

Despite the small size of the housing, the mouse has a 500 mAh battery. This is to be able to offer an endurance of up to 70 days. The battery is charged via USB-C connection. Logitech donates a quick-charging function to the portable mouse, with which already one minute loading time is to be sufficient, in order to make three hours use possible. Not only the battery sounds promising. Logitech also uses a special Darkfield sensor that offers 4,000 DPI. This means that the MX Anywhere 3 does not require a mouse pad. After all, thanks to the reliable sensor, it should be able to be used on almost any surface. This includes not only the home fabric or leather couch, but even glass surfaces. This once again underlines the portability of the latest generation.

Three colors are available.

The magnetic mouse wheel is also a novelty. According to the manufacturer, this is supposed to be able to scroll up to 1,000 lines per second. Not only the speed, but also the volume should be convincing. This is virtually non-existent. According to Logitech, the wheel works almost silently thanks to the magnetic principle. Since it is still possible to switch between step-by-step and seamless scrolling, very precise scrolling should also be possible. The MX Anywhere 3 should also score points in terms of adaptability. For example, there are two buttons on the side, which the user can configure as he or she pleases. Here, profiles can be managed and adjusted in the customized software.

Price and availability

The latest mouse from Logitech is expected to be available in stores from September 25th onwards . You can choose between the colors white, rose and graphite. You also have to choose between the version for Windows PC and Mac. While the former is delivered with a USB-C to USB-A cable, the version for Apple’s computer comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Logitech demands thereby a UVP of 89,99 euro. Due to the still reduced value added tax the UVP lies in this country for the time being however with 87,72 euro.
