Medion Erazer Beast X30: Gaming notebook with Alder Lake and RTX 3070 Ti

With the Medion Erazer Beast X30, the manufacturer relaunches the well-known gaming notebook. New features include a 12th generation Intel Alder Lake CPU, a faster display, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. All this is available for just over 2,000 euros.

Big update for the Beast. With the Medion Erazer Beast X30, you can expect a new, high-quality gaming notebook that significantly improves in almost all areas compared to the X20. The powerful device is equipped with a 12th generation Intel CPU. You can choose between a Core i7-12700H processor and a Core i9-12900HK.

Depending on the configuration, it is supported by 32 GB or 64 GB DDR5 RAM with a clock rate of up to 4800 MHz. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU with 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM (150 W TGP) or an RTX 3070 Ti with 16 GB VRAM (175 W TGP) is used as the graphics solution.

In terms of the display, the X30 relies on a 17.3-inch (43.9 cm) QHD IPS display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz, which fully covers the sRGB color space and offers narrow display edges.

Lots of system memory, massive ports

In terms of system memory, the Medion Erazer Beast X30 comes with 2 terabytes of PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD storage. There is also a keyboard with RGB lighting, an IR FHD webcam including Windows Hello and a microphone.

The X30 wirelessly transmits via WiFi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1. A multi-card reader for Micro SD, Micro SDHC, Micro SDXC memory cards is also available, as well as a 91.2 Wh 6-cell Li-Polymer high-performance battery and Windows 11 Home.

The notebook measures 39.5 x 2.6 x 26.2 cm and weighs 2.4 kg. In terms of ports, 2x USB 3-2 Gen 1 Type A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A, 1x UBS 3.2 Gen 2 Type C with Thunderbolt 4, 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x RJ-45 LAN, 1x audio-out and 1x mic-in are each available.

Prices and Availability

The Medion Erazer Beast X30 is available in stores now and is offered in the manufacturer’s store. The model with i7-12700H has an MSRP of 2,599.95 euros, while the X30 with i9-12900HK, RTX 3080 Ti and 64 GB of RAM is available for 3,999.95 euros.

Media Markt lists another Beast X30 with Intel Core i7 processor, 32 GB RAM and RTX 3070 Ti, but only with 1 TB of storage for 2,299 euros. However, delivery is not scheduled until mid-June 2022.
