MOZA R3: First Direct Drive steering wheel for Xbox consoles presented

MOZA Racing is known for its excellent steering wheels. Most recently, they launched the R5 (our test), an excellent direct-drive steering wheel at an attractive price. Now they are announcing another innovation with the MOZA R3, as the steering wheel and pedals can be used on Xbox consoles as well as PCs for the first time.

The MOZA R3 in detail

The MOZA R3 is the manufacturer’s first direct-drive steering wheel that can be used on Xbox consoles as well as PCs. The new steering wheel is offered in a bundle consisting of the R3 base with a 3.9 Nm direct-drive motor, an ES steering wheel specially adapted to the layout of the Xbox, a table mount and the SR-P Lite pedal set.

This includes everything you need to get straight to the starting line in Forza Motorsport, F1 24 (our test) and other racers. Thanks to plug-and-play connectivity, the bundle is compatible with PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.

The 3.9Nm DD socket is versatile, from desktop setups to dedicated rigs, and easily adapts to different spatial conditions. The innovative X-shaped design and the uniform motor housing are intended to improve cooling and deliver maximum performance in racers over the long term.

The wheel base of the R3 is made of aerospace-grade aluminum and is therefore particularly robust and durable. At the same time, it optimizes the feedback of the steering force through extremely low torque ripple and groove characteristics.

The built-in 15-bit encoder ensures that the MOZA R3 achieves a consistent, reliable and extremely precise steering feel at all times, taking console racing games to a new level.

MOZA R3 DD Wheelbase and ES steering wheel

The MOZA R3 wheelbase is equipped with durable ISF grips and an aluminum alloy frame and relies on the manufacturer’s quick-release system, which offers the level of a racing car and enables a quick change of the steering wheel in just a few simple steps.

An RGB shift indicator shows when you should shift up and down in the game, while 22 programmable buttons allow you to fully customize your gaming experience.

The bundle is rounded off by the high-quality MOZA SRP Lite pedals. They are made of robust steel and have an ultra-sensitive angle sensor that reacts precisely to the movements of the feet.

The pedal distance and output curves are fully adjustable via the MOZA Pit House software, allowing for a customized gaming experience.

Price and availability

The MOZA R3 Bundle will be available from June 04, 2024 at 15:00. The recommended retail price is 439.00 euros, which makes the bundle 70 euros cheaper than the R5 bundle. Further information can be found on the official MOZA Racing website.
