MWC 2023: Xgimi H6 4K projector with 120 Hz and 4K presented

At this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), we will once again be able to see exciting upcoming highlights from the technology world. One of them is the Xgimi H6, a promising 4K projector. It scores especially with its technical data. The compact projector is supposed to be able to handle a screen diagonal of up to 150 inches. On top of that, it offers HDMI 2.1 and 120 Hz features that should even please gamers.

Xgimi H6 for now only in China

You shouldn’t fall too in love with the Xgimi H6. After all, the powerful and chic 4K beamer is only available for purchase in China for now. However, since the manufacturer is not an unknown quantity in this country, we can probably assume that the device will also be launched in our climes. Considering the capabilities of the cube-shaped projector, that would be very desirable. After all, the Xgimi H6 not only offers a remarkable resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. Due to the extensive color palette of 1,070,000,000 colors, we may probably also enjoy colorful image content.

Interesting for gaming and home theater

Away from the 4K resolution, however, it’s the refresh rate that stands out here. With a maximum of 120 Hz, the Xgimi H6 is far ahead of many models from the competition. The high refresh rate is probably made possible by the so-called MEMC algorithm. While the 120 Hz should please gamers in particular, it’s the sheer screen size that will put a smile on the faces of home theater enthusiasts. With up to 150 inches, everyone should be happy here. Thanks to the integrated brightness sensor, the Xgimi H6 should be able to offer automatic brightness adjustment.

A maximum of 1,200 nits is possible. The system is powered by a quad-core processor in the form of the MediaTek MT9669. It is supported by 4 GB of RAM. On the connectivity side, there are enough ports to choose from with 2x USB 2.0, 1x 3.5 mm jack and 2x HDMI 2.1. An internal storage of 64 GB also promises enough space for one or the other movie on the device itself. The integrated speakers are supposed to provide good sound. These come from none other than the sound expert Harman Kardon.

Price and availability

As mentioned at the beginning, it is still uncertain if and when the Xgimi H6 will also be available for purchase in this country. In China, the manufacturer charges an extremely fair price of nearly 960 euros in view of the equipment.
