OpenAI: ChatGPT with GPT-5 will probably arrive in summer 2024

There is currently an undisputed king in the chatbot industry – ChatGPT. Internal sources now suggest that OpenAI is planning to launch the latest version soon. ChatGPT based on version GPT-5 should be available as early as the summer.

It should be clear to everyone that a new version of the chatbot is coming soon. However, OpenAI has so far remained tight-lipped about an actual release date. And this is still the case. However, reliable sources suggest that it will be ready as early as next summer. This is according to a report by Business Insider. Meanwhile, the B2B business already seems to be running at full speed behind the scenes.

According to the article, OpenAI has already presented the new possibilities to several companies. One company boss was so enthusiastic that he could not keep this to himself. In his opinion, the latest version of ChatGPT is “even much better” than its predecessor. The CEO praised the customized solutions in particular, which were a perfect fit for his company. However, the new version is said to not only have improved existing features. There will also be new functions.

In the new version, we can certainly expect all-round better performance and hopefully better responses from the chatbot. However, the development around the basis is also exciting. OpenAI apparently wants to introduce new functions with GPT-5. They are currently still working on the development of features such as an AI agent.

This should be able to solve tasks on its own. According to Business Insider, the AI-based helper could, for example, be given the task of finding a destination for the next short vacation and solving the tasks around it. The AI agent will then not only plan the itinerary. It should also automatically research local accommodation options and corresponding prices.
