With its ELEOS 12 DUO RBW, the hardware experts from RAIJINTEK have presented a new CPU cooler. This one relies on a special design where the heatsink sits between two 120 mm ARGB fans. Thus, it can offer the high performance of two fans and is compact at the same time.
Slim design with ARGB
On the top of the heatsink, there is also an ARGB-compatible cover that is supposed to provide pretty lighting effects. The lighting itself can be controlled via a motherboard with a standard 5V/3-pin connector. For the heatsink, RAIJINTEK goes for a slim design.
Thus, the cooler measures 127 mm x 99 mm x 160 mm and weighs 690 mg. This not only looks good, but also ensures that other peripheral components are not disturbed. On the base plate, the manufacturer installs no less than six 6×4 millimeter heat pipes using the direct-touch method.
High cooling performance
The processor is cooled by a fan with 800 to 1,600 rpm. In doing so, the ELEOS 12 DUO RBW manages a maximum airflow of 72 CFM and a maximum static pressure of 2.16 mmH2O, according to RAIJINTEK. At the same time, the CPU cooler is said to operate pleasingly quietly with a maximum noise level of 22 dB.
The expected service life of 40,000 hours also sounds encouraging, which is probably due in part to the choice of a long-life hydraulic bearing. According to RAIJINTEK, the new cooler can be installed not only on Intel’s LGA 115x, 1200, 1366, 201x, 2066 and 17xx. On top of that, the ELEOS 12 DUO RBW is compatible with AMD sockets AM4, AM3 and AM3 +.
