Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless headphones presented at attractive price

The audio experts at Sennheiser have unveiled exciting new in-ear headphones, the CX Plus True Wireless. They offer active noise cancellation (ANC) and rely on newly developed TrueResponse drivers. The price turns out to be extremely attractive at the same time.

Unique drivers

The new Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless headphones are said to combine crystal clear sound with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) function. At the same time, they say, simple and intuitive operation is possible, while a slim design ensures maximum wearing comfort.

The specially developed TrueResponse drivers promise particularly high sound quality. They are manufactured in Germany and feature a high-fidelity stereo sound image with rich bass, natural mids and clear, detailed highs. The sound transducer consists of a single dynamic high-performance driver whose diaphragm can clearly reproduce the entire frequency spectrum despite the small diameter of 7 mm.

At the same time, the CX Plus True Wireless radio in the Bluetooth 5.2 band and support SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX Adaptive codecs for high-resolution sound with low latency. Bluetooth connections can be easily managed via the Sennheiser Smart Control app, while the built-in equalizer offers a personalized sound experience and a powerful bass boost preset.

An effective Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) function for blocking out ambient noise is also on board, as is a Transparent Hearing function that lets noise through with the tap of a finger.

Touch control

The Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless are operated via touch control, with the outer sides coming across as customizable touch surfaces. Commands can be customized and control of audio, calls and voice assistants can be adjusted to your own preferences.

The Smart Pause feature automatically pauses audio playback when the earbuds are removed and resumes playback immediately when they are reinserted. In addition, both earbuds can be used as a pair as well as individually and thus independently of each other. Two microphones per earbud are said to simultaneously provide crystal clear voice pickup for calls and voice assistant access.

The compact earbuds come with silicone adapters in four different sizes. These ensure a secure and tight fit in the ear canal and passive noise cancellation. At the same time, they promise to be very comfortable to wear; according to Sennheiser, this is where a minimalist and perfectly balanced design comes into play to provide a comfortable fit.

Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless

The CX Plus True Wireless is IPX4 splash-proof for added safety. Battery life is eight hours, which can be extended up to 24 hours when combined with the charging case.

Price and Availability

The Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless in-ear headphones will be available from September 28 in black and white. The manufacturer’s MSRP is 159.90 euros.
