Turtle Beach SCOUT AIR and ROCCAT SYN Buds Air unveiled

Turtle Beach and ROCCAT have jointly introduced new wireless earbuds that are supposed to be especially suitable for mobile gaming. They convince with high compatibility, low latency and a long battery life. We have summarized all the info on the Turtle Beach SCOUT AIR and ROCCAT SYN Buds Air.

Visually and technically, the SCOUT AIR and ROCCAT SYN Buds Air hardly differ from each other. For acoustics, both Bluetooth earbuds rely on 6 mm drivers with neodymium magnets that cover the usual frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.

Both earbuds come in a black color scheme and feature the manufacturer’s logo on the charging eagle and on the outside of the drivers. The earbuds were developed primarily for mobile console and computer gamers.

20 hours of battery life and gaming mode

Compatible with iOS, Android, and other Bluetooth-enabled devices such as Nintendo Switch, Windows PCs, and Mac, both devices feature a dedicated gaming mode that reduces latency to 60 ms (whereas in normal mode it’s 100 milliseconds). Wirelessly, they both radio with Bluetooth version 5.1

The Earbuds also offer a total battery life of 20 hours and are IPX4 sweat and water resistant, so listening to music or podcasts while in between workouts is no problem.

The earphones themselves last for five hours, and another 15 hours are possible via the charging case. The charging case has a battery indicator and can charge the Earbuds via USB-C in just 15 minutes for five hours of battery life.

Clear communication and operation

Thanks to built-in dual microphones, the SCOUT AIR and SYN Buds Air are said to provide clear voice reproduction during phone calls. Several included sets of silicone ear inserts designed for different sizes ensure a high level of wearing comfort.

The Earbuds are operated with touch controls, and the controls can also be customized. Adjusting the equalizer, activating game mode and controlling the batteries is possible via Turtle Beach’s Audio Hub app for the Scout Air and via ROCCAT’s SYN Buds Air app.

The Turtle Beach SCOUT AIR and ROCCAT SYN Buds Air are available for pre-order starting today. They will ship on March 21, 2022, and both earbuds are priced at an MSRP of 99.99 euros.
