XPG launches GAMMIX S70 PCIe Gen4 M.2 2280 PCIe

The new GAMMIX S70 completes the product line of the Gen4 SSD series from XPG. And all this with one of the fastest M.2 SSDs in the world. XPG is a manufacturer of components and peripherals for gamers and technology enthusiasts. The Gen4 SSD series also includes the S50 and S50 Lite.

One of the fastest M.2 SSDs

The GAMMIX S70 PCIe Gen4 M.2 2280 PCIe provides very high read/write speeds of up to 7,400/6,400 MB per second. For the demanding user, the new S70 is an excellent upgrade, especially with regard to the growing data volume and 5G. In combination with NVMe 1.4 compatible, dynamic SLC caching, the GAMMIX S70 exceeds the performance of SATA and PCIe 3.0 SSDs by far. The S70 is also backward compatible with PCIe 3.0, which ensures ease of use.

XPG has equipped the GAMMIX S70 with a CoolArmor heatspreader made of aluminum, which ensures cool operation and more stability. To reduce temperatures by up to 30 percent, the design of the SSD is staircase-shaped, giving the SSD a larger surface area, which helps to dissipate heat more effectively.

The GAMMIX S70 also supports LDPC code technology for error correction. This is used for accurate data transmission of data errors and a higher TBW (Total Bytes Written) rating. These are recognized and can be better corrected. Data security and integrity of the SSD is ensured by end-to-end (E2E) data protection and AES 256-bit encryption.

The S70 is available in a Lite version as 1 TB version or 2 TB version. XPG gives 5 years warranty on the S70. Unfortunately, nothing is known about the price of the new GAMMIX S70 yet.
