Fiido Air: Ultralight e-bike now available for pre-order

Fiido is famous for producing e-bikes that offer great value for money. With the Fiido Air, the company has now presented its latest model. Thanks to the high-quality choice of materials, it weighs just 13.75 kg and is therefore significantly lighter than many competitor models.

Fiido Air: Carbon frame for ultra-light design

When developing the Fiido Air, the expert for electrically powered bikes claims to have listened to the extensive feedback from its community. This included the desire for an ultra-light e-bike. As e-bikes often weigh in at around 20 kg, this desire is of course understandable.

And the Fiido Air certainly delivers in this respect. At 13.75 kg, it weighs significantly less than the competition. The Red Dot Award for the ultra-light design was not without reason. The low weight was made possible by the use of carbon fibers.

In addition to the frame itself, the handlebars, front fork and stem are also made of this extremely light but robust material. This should not only make it comfortable to carry, but also very maneuverable. It’s not just the carbon fibers that make for a modern look.

Fiido has also succeeded in creating a pleasingly tidy overall appearance. This is not only due to the streamlined design, which can be seen in the pictures. On top of that, you can only see at second glance that this is an e-bike. This is because Fiido has hidden all the cables in the frame.

Fiido Air: First-class components

The Fiido Air does not have a display. Instead, the rider always keeps an eye on the most important parameters with the help of the matching Fiido Mate smartwatch. The manufacturer makes no compromises when it comes to the technical components on the bike itself.

Firstly, there is the drive. Naturally, Fiido relies on Gates Carbon Drive CDN – a carbon belt that is not only lightweight but also extremely low-maintenance. The braking system is again Shimano BR-MT410 hydraulic brakes.

The Mivice torque sensor should in turn ensure smooth riding and responsive acceleration. The 250 watt motor should be able to bring the ultra-light e-bike up to a top speed of 25 km/h quickly and agilely in five different stages. Fiido specifies a range of 80 km.

A number of smart features ensure a high level of user comfort. Firstly, there are the three different start modes. You can unlock the e-bike using your fingerprint, the Fiido app or the Fiido Mate smartwatch.
