Geekom is considered the expert par excellence when it comes to manufacturing powerful mini PCs. We were able to personally convince ourselves of this in our test of the Geekom MiniAir 11. Just in time for Black Friday, the manufacturer offers its Geekom Mini IT8 on Amazon for a real bargain price.
Small but mighty!
Despite its compact dimensions of 17.81 x 15.29 x 10.69 cm and a slim weight of 1.46 kg, the Geekom Mini IT8 offers a surprising amount of hardware power. At its heart is the quad-core 8th generation Intel Coffee Lake i5-8279U CPU. The processor offers 2.4 GHz (maximum clock rate: 4.1 GHz) and is well equipped for office tasks, streaming and simple games in combination with 16 GB RAM (expandable up to 32 GB). An Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 is supposed to provide graphics performance. The 512 GB SSD not only offers a lot of storage space, but is also surprisingly fast. That the mini-PC is best suited for office or home office use is not only clear from the VESA mount function.
On top of that, you can display the image in 4K resolution at 60 Hz refresh rate on up to four screens. Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled ex-works. Alternatively, other operating systems like Linux or MacOS can be installed. Besides WiFi 5, Bluetooth also ensures fast wireless connections and transmissions. The other connectivity is also on a high level. Thus, you can connect external devices via 3x USB 3.2 ports, 2x USB-C ports, 1x HDMI port, 1x LAN port, 1x SD card reader, 1x mini DisplayPort and a 3.5 mm jack.
