AeroCool Prime: New midi tower with lighting and ventilation

From the case experts of the company AeroCool a new Midi-Tower comes on the market. The AeroCool Prime, with its combination of three long light strips and diagonally running slits for ventilation, not only offers a lot on the outside. It should also be able to fully convince in high-performance use.

Not to be overlooked

The AeroCool Prime may be small, but you won’t overlook it too quickly. With its dimensions of 205 mm x 442 mm x 376 mm, it fits into just about any setup. The A-RGB lighting gives the compact PC a cool appearance. Speaking of cool – AeroCool is especially proud of the air vents on the front of the Midi Tower. These should even make the case a “high-performance model”.

Little space for fans

But if you look at the fan situation in detail, questions quickly arise. The AeroCool Prime, for example, offers just four fan locations. Furthermore, only two of them can be used for powerful 140mm fans – the one on the front. The other two fans are each located under the lid and at the back of the Midi Tower. Here one is limited to fans with a maximum of 120mm.

Different equipment

AeroCool obviously uses different variants for its Prime. If you take a look at the product page, it becomes clear that you have to choose between four different configurations. One version comes with a 120 mm fan, which does not provide any lighting. There is also a version that offers two unlit 120 mm fans. The last two options come with either an illuminated 120 mm fan or an illuminated and an unilluminated 120 mm fan.

Nice lighting

While one may argue about the term “high performance”, the AeroCool Prime does everything right in terms of looks. The RGB lighting in the form of the three light strips on the front is an absolute eye-catcher. By the way, the lighting can be controlled in different ways. For one, you can use a practical RGB button that is located in the lid of the Midi Tower. Alternatively one can also use a suitable mainboard.

Technical details

The I/O panel is located in the lid of the Midi-Tower. Here the user finds two USB 3.0 ports. In addition, AeroCool has installed two 3.5 mm jack sockets here. The Midi-Tower offers space for graphic cards up to a length of 30.2 cm. Furthermore, coolers can be installed in the tower, which may have a maximum height of almost 16 cm. The necessary memory space is also provided. Thus, two drives with a size of 2.5 or 3.5 inches can be installed in the AeroCool Prime. In addition, the Midi Tower offers a further space for a 2.5 inch drive on its mainboard tray. AeroCool has also installed practical solutions for cable management here.

Price and availability

Unfortunately, AeroCool is still holding back on the issues of price and availability. However, we assume that the Midi-Tower will not cost more than 100 Euro.
