Affordable 5G smartphone from Samsung: Galaxy A42 5G

Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy A42 5G today at the “Life Unstoppable” virtual live event. Even though not all details are known yet, the smartphone sounds quite exciting.

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is the successor of the A41 and thus belongs to the middle class. Features of the new smartphone are also 5G technology, just like the name. It offers a 6.6 inch AMOLED Inifinity-U display, in which the fingerprint sensor is also integrated. The smartphone is of course not particularly compact in terms of display size, but Samsung has not yet provided exact dimensions – nor has the display resolution.

On the front you will also find the Selfie camera with 20 megapixel resolution in a notch. The back offers much more with four camera modules. The main camera has a resolution of 48 megapixels, plus an ultra-wide angle camera with 8 megapixels, a macro camera with 5 megapixels and a depth-of-field camera with live focus, also with 5 megapixels.

The case of the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is eye-catching, as the back has four thick stripes that become brighter and brighter from top to bottom. This makes the smartphone stand out from the crowd in any case, whether you like it or not is up to you. With 5.000 mAh there is also a big battery installed in the Smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is not quite ready for the market yet, but it will be available for 369 Euro RRP in the colors black, white and grey at the beginning of November. This makes it the cheapest 5G smartphone from Samsung to date. Until the release we will surely get more specifications.
