With the Agon AG324UX monitor, AOC introduces a new gaming model that is supposed to convince with UHD resolution, 144 Hz and an HDMI 2.1 port. The device has only been presented in China so far.
The display: UHD at 31.5 inches
With a diagonal screen size of 31.5 inches, the display offers a resolution of 3,840 × 2,160 pixels, which corresponds to UHD and results in a pixel density of 140 ppi. At full resolution, the device also offers a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Such a combination is unique so far, but other manufacturers are also striving for it. For example, Asus and ViewSonic have already announced that they want to launch similar products this spring. However, a delay is to be expected in view of the current situation. The Agon AG324UX also offers a response time of one millisecond. 10 bit color depth as well as Adaptive Sync support.
Connection diversity with HDMI-2.1
The monitor’s other features include various ports, among which is an HDMI 2.1 port. Furthermore, the device is supposed to have a Display Port connector and a USB-C port, among others, whereby the latter can also be used to power other devices: Laptops or smartphones can be charged with up to 90 watts during operation. There are also four USB-A ports, headphone and microphone jacks, and two integrated speakers. Mouse and keyboard can be used with two computers at the same time when connected via the USB-A ports.
The features are rounded off by an adjustable RGB lighting on the back of the monitor, a device for tilting, rotating and swiveling the display as well as a headset holder. The RGB lighting thereby offers fourteen different effects and more than 100,000 colors.
Price and Availability
So far, the device has only been unveiled in China. If and when it will be available outside of China and what price AOC will call is currently unknown.
