CES 2022: HP presents new gaming lineup

Hewlett Packard (HP) usually stands for business solutions in the field of desktop PCs and notebooks. But the company can also do differently. At this year’s CES, HP seized the opportunity and presented its wide-ranging gaming lineup. With the OMEN 45L, 25L and Victus by HP 15L, three powerful desktop PCs are among them. The OMEN 27u 4K gaming monitor, which can also be used for consoles for the first time, is a good match. The upcoming OMEN 16 and 17 gaming notebooks are supposed to be suitable for gaming on the go.

High-end gaming on the OMEN 45L

The locking tip of the upcoming desktop solutions is the OMEN 45L. HP is emphasizing its in-house developed “OMEN Cryo ChamberTMi” at the launch. This special cooling solution is supposed to be able to protect the processor from overheating in the best possible way. In view of the power under the hood of the beast, this cooling solution is certainly appropriate. As a graphics card, you can only use NVIDIA’s GeForce RTXTM 3090.

Those who prefer an AMD GPU can alternatively opt for features with the RadeonTM RX 6700XT. The processor is also equipped with the latest technology. HP relies on the latest Intel® CoreTM i9-12900K processors of the 12th generation or the octa-core AMD RyzenTM 9 5900X processor. The CPU is supported by up to 64 GB of working memory. Besides the performance, the handling should also be convincing. Thus, HP promises an easy upgrade without the use of tools.

With its OMEN 25L, HP wants to score especially with its efficient design. According to the manufacturer, this not only provides with a refined thermal. On top of that, it also makes a very good visual impression thanks to extravagant colors and an optional glass side panel. But most important is of course the hardware power.

And it can really be seen. HP offers the installation of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 in the maximum configuration. Alternatively, you can also choose the AMD Radeon TM RX 6700 XT. In terms of processors, you should be able to choose between the Intel® CoreTM i7 processors of the 12th generation or the latest AMD RyzenTM processors.

Victus at HP 15L desktop scores with compact dimensions

At CES 2022, HP announced its Victus by HP 15L Desktop, the first desktop PC from the popular Victus series. This one is primarily characterized by its compact design, which should find a place in any PC setup. It is also really chic. This is not only ensured by the two color options, but also the RGB logo, which you should be able to customize according to your wishes.

Despite the comparatively small dimensions, the desktop PC can still boast with a very good hardware performance – at least on paper. Thus, there is a maximum of an NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 3060 Ti or an AMD RadeonTM RX 6600 XT graphics card here. In terms of processors, HP says you have a choice between the new Intel® CoreTM i7 processors of the 12th generation or the latest AMD RyzenTM7 processors of the 5000G series.

OMEN 16 and 17 get major upgrade

Of course, HP has also provided its popular gaming notebooks with a suitable upgrade for 2022. With the GeForce RTX 3070Ti and the GeForce 3080Ti, there is a lot of graphics power. The latest Intel Core processors of the 12th generation are supposed to ensure fast and energy-efficient work.

OMEN 27u 4K gaming monitor also delights console gamers

With its presented gaming monitor, HP should not only make owners of a gaming PC happy. Thanks to HMDI 2.1 and plug-and-play feature, you should also be able to connect it to an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 without any problems and benefit from gaming features like Virtual Refresh Rate (VRR).

The 4K resolution paired with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz should ensure sharp and buttery smooth animations.

Prices and Availability

HP’s OMEN 45L is expected to launch as early as February. The MSRP starts at a proud 3,199 euros. One month later, the OMEN 25L is also supposed to go on sale. Here, HP wants to call up an RRP starting at 1,499 Euros. Also in March, the Victus by HP 15L gaming desktop PC will go on sale with an MSRP starting at 799 Euros. HP wants to launch its OMEN by HP 27u 4K in April. The gaming monitor is to cost 749 euros. OMEN 16 and 17 are to be launched in spring. HP wants to sell the two gaming notebooks at an MSRP of 2,099 Euros each.
