Anker docking stations: Order on the desk

Anker is currently proving to be an amazingly industrious manufacturer in the field of consumer electronics. One new announcement follows the next. The Kickstarter campaign for the EverFrost – a battery-powered refrigerator and freezer – started just a few days ago. Now the company once known only for making cheap Bluetooth speakers has unveiled an exciting USB hub for the desktop. Without further ado, the Anker 675 Docking Station combines a monitor elevator with a classic docking station. In this way, the company aims to kill two birds with one stone by combating cable clutter and freeing up desk space.

The Anker 675 keeps things tidy

The trend is increasingly toward working from a desk at home. But for many people, the move with the computer from the classic open-plan office to their own four walls came with a nasty surprise. The technology also brings a lot of cables into the office or even the living room. Fortunately, there are now suitable solutions for this. Anker is also involved when it comes to practical little helpers for the home office. The Anker 675 Docking Station comes with ten ports. Fans of cable management can accommodate just about all devices that need to be supplied with power at the desk.

Thereby, the monitor stand not only enables 4K resolution at 60 Hz. On top of that, you can charge your notebook here with up to 100 watts. If you have a smartphone with wireless charging compatibility, you can charge it with 10 watts on the Qi charging surface. Another selling point might be the sheer design of the stand. After all, you can comfortably store your gadgets that are used every day here. Thus, the keyboard, mouse and smartphone remain unseen. At Amazon, you can get the stylish docking station for 249.99 euros.

The Anker 568 (Windows) and 778 (macOS)

In addition to this, the Anker 568 was presented, which is aimed specifically at users of Windows PCs. Thanks to USB4, this one should be able to convince especially with its high speed. According to the manufacturer, up to 40 Gb/s are possible. The advantages of the modern USB version are obvious. It should be possible to operate up to three monitors with 4K resolution at a refresh rate of 30 Hz. Future-proofing is guaranteed by the support of 8K monitors. Parallel to that, you should also be able to transfer files at a maximum speed of 10 Gb/s. Fast charging from the notebook is also possible here without any problems thanks to a maximum power of 100 watts.

In addition to the USB4 port, there are said to be two other USB-C ports on the docking station, which also offer very good performance at 30 watts. The whole thing is rounded off with 1x LAN, 1x HDMI, 2x DisplayPort and 1x Kensington NanoSaver slot. The docking station is available for 299.99 euros on Amazon. Of course, Apple users should not look down the tube either. So comes the Anker 778, another hub that is supposed to combine 12 ports in just one hub. Thunderbolt 4 (40 Gb/s) is included, but also HDMI 2.1. In total, four monitors can be connected to just one PC. This is especially practical for creative professionals who rely on Mac from experience.

Anchor 322 and 552 as daily companions

Hub solutions for on-the-go are not primarily intended to keep things tidy. Rather, their task is to expand the increasing lack of connections in notebooks. For this purpose, the manufacturer has presented the Anker 322, for one. This converts one USB-C port into no less than five ports. At Amazon, the compact hub costs 49.99 euros. HDMI, USB-C and USB-A are included. If you also need an SD and microSD slot as well as a LAN port, you should take a look at the slightly more expensive Anker 552.

Bargain prices at the Amazon Spring Sale

Just in time for spring, Amazon is launching its Spring Sale. Anker docking stations are also on sale here. You can get the 778 for 322.99 Euros (RRP: 379.99 Euros) and the Anker 552 for 55.99 Euros (RRP: 69.99 Euros). Furthermore, the manufacturer offers its 556 for 119.99 Euros (RRP: 149.99 Euros).
