Antec Cannon: Futuristic premium case with rich airflow presented

With the Antec Cannon, the manufacturer launches a new premium case that wants to score with a futuristic look and excellent airflow. However, the price is quite steep.

The Antec Cannon in detail

Gaming cases from Antec have been going for a futuristic look for quite some time now, which could be straight out of a sci-fi movie. The Torque and Striker models were the most recent examples of this.

The Antec Cannon is another case that continues this trend. But it also makes a leap upwards in terms of price. After all, the look has been scaled back a bit compared to the Torque. You won’t find flashy colors and a beveled exterior here.

However, the Cannon presents itself more airy and relies on CNC-milled aluminum plates as well as generous, 4mm-thick glass elements that allow a view of the inner workings from all sides. It measures 261 x 481 x 604 mm (width x depth x height) and thus offers more than enough space for high-end components.

Mainboards up to E-ATX format (ATX and Micro-ATX also work) and graphics cards with a maximum length of 38.5 cm are supported. CPU coolers, on the other hand, may be a maximum of 85 mm and power supplies a maximum of 270 mm.

Focus on water cooling

Weighing around 10 kg, the Antec Cannon can accommodate up to 12 fans. According to official website, three 120mm fans are supported on the front, up to six 120mm fans on the sides, and a maximum of three 120mm or 140mm fans on the rear.

The focus, however, is on water cooling, for which the Cannon is broadly positioned. Radiators with a size of 120mm, 240mm or 360mm can be accommodated at the front. The same applies to the side, where even two 360mm radiators can be used at the same time.

At the rear, the PC case is even more versatile. There are 120mm, 140mm, 240mm, 280mm, 360mm and even 420mm options. For drives, one 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch bays are available.

Price and Availability

However, with an MSRP of 495 euros, the already available Antec Cannon case is truly no bargain. At least some retailers are already offering the PC case at a reduced price. The retailer Mindfactory currently has the cheapest offer with a price of around 447 Euros.
