Apple: New iPads, MacBooks and more as early as this week?

The Cupertino-based company usually kicks off a new year with an Apple event in March or April. The last event last fall was all about the M3 ARM chips in the MacBook Pro and iMac. Various sources have speculated that we can expect new products as early as this week. There is talk of new iPads, the MacBook Air 2024 based on the M3 and perhaps even more.

New Apple products in March 2024

There is a lot going on at Apple at the moment. Just a few days ago, it was announced that the electric car project known as “Project Titan” has been discontinued. And a new Apple Watch with a micro LED display is also unlikely in the foreseeable future.

Nevertheless, the manufacturer is also preparing a number of new products this year. According to Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, the time will come soon, as reported in the latest issue of the Power On newsletter.

The MacRumors website goes even further. It has learned from an anonymous but reliable source that Apple will be presenting new products as early as this week. However, there will not be a separate Apple event this time. The presentations are to be made exclusively in the form of press releases and on the manufacturer’s website.

Apple Event 2024: What new products can we expect?

We will obviously have to be patient until the first Apple Event 2024. Nevertheless, fans are eagerly awaiting the manufacturer’s new products. But what new products can we expect in March 2024?

There have been a number of rumors about this so far. We will probably find out what Apple will ultimately present in the coming days.

First of all, there is a new MacBook Air 2024 based on the M3 chip. According to previous rumors, the notebook will be available in a 13-inch and a 15-inch version and will be equipped with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

According to Gurman, we can also expect a few exciting innovations in the Apple iPad tablet segment. The analyst is not only talking about a brand new iPad Pro 2024 based on the M3, which will be equipped with an OLED display.

There is also talk of both new iPad Pro variants featuring a thinner casing, a new front camera in landscape mode and possibly MagSafe charging technology.

Two new iPad Air 2024 tablets are also in the pipeline. These are said to have the M2 chip installed, although a new model with a larger 12.9-inch display is also rumored to be offered alongside the 11-inch version.

Apple could also introduce a new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro, as well as at least one new Apple Pencil. New color variants for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are also on the cards.

MacRumors also states that Apple is also working on a new Apple TV and a HomePod with screen, which are due to be released in the first half of 2024. However, it is still unclear whether these will be unveiled in March.
