Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED: Top model with Core i9-12900H and 4K OLED

As part of the event “The Pinnacle of Performance”, the manufacturer presented the Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED, which is the most powerful Zenbook Pro model of the series so far. It offers a 16-inch OLED screen with 4K resolution and is equipped with the Core i9-12900H.

Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED: Details and info

The manufacturer’s new OLED top model goes by the name of Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED and has a lot to offer. From a purely technical point of view, a 16-inch OLED touchscreen in 16:10 format including 4K resolution, a frame rate of 60 Hz and a brightness of 550 nits are on the cards. Dolby Vision is also supported.

Asus has not yet provided detailed information about the OLED top model. However, it is certain that the new model with the number UX760 is equipped with the 14-core Intel Core i9-12900H CPU (six performance and eight efficiency cores) with clock rates of up to 5.0 GHz. The dedicated graphics card is the GeForce RTX 3060 from Nvidia.

Together, the composite has a combined TDP of 140 watts available in performance mode, while the notebook should not get louder than 40 dB in standard mode thanks to a sophisticated cooling system.

Exciting unique selling points

Up to 32 GB of working memory and a maximum of 2 TB of system memory is offered by the Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED, which also has a 96 Wh battery and offers Thunderbolt 4 twice, HDMI 2.1 and an SD Express card reader.

Another special feature: If you open the notebook, the keyboard automatically lifts up a bit, which is supposed to provide better cooling and an additional measure of ergonomics.

The haptic touchpad has also been enlarged compared to the predecessor, while the Asus Dial to the left is supposed to be used as an input device especially for creative applications. There is also a Full HD and additional IR webcam for Windows Hello, RGB lighting and support for a stylus.

Price and Availability

The Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED is expected to make its way to German retailers in the second quarter of 2022. The price for the notebook starts at 2,999 Euros.
