BenQ GV30: Portable mini-projector with 2.1-channel Bluetooth audio presented

The new BenQ GV30 mini-projector presented by the manufacturer weighs just 1.6 kg. It is characterized by high portability, without users having to do without exciting technical features when camping or in the home garden.

The BenQ GV30 features

With a size of 120.0 mm x 195.8 mm x 185.0 mm (W x H x D) and a weight of only 1.6 kg, the BenQ GV30 mini beamer marks an excellent companion for outdoor use, which can also be operated without an external power supply thanks to the integrated battery. According to the manufacturer, the battery life is around two and a half hours.

It relies on an LED light source with a durability of up to 30,0000 hours and achieves a maximum resolution in 4K UHD quality (3840 x 2160 pixels). At a brightness of 300 ANSI lumens with an image size between 30 and 100 inches, it still manages 1,280 x 720 pixels and that’s with a wide projection angle of 135°. Autofocus and vertical keystone correction are also on board, while the case can be rotated on the magnetic stand.

The GV30 relies on BenQ’s CinematicColor technology to deliver lifelike colors. Dedicated picture modes allow dark areas of the image to be adjusted, ensuring excellent picture quality even in bright lighting conditions. The Rec. 709 color space is covered by 98 percent.  In addition to a wireless interface with Bluetooth 4.2, the projector can be connected via HDMI and USB-C (with DisplayPort Alt Mode and data function).

Saturated sound

Two built-in mid-high speakers, each with 4 watts of power, provide for successful acoustics in the BenQ GV30. An 8-watt woofer for rich bass and a real cinema feeling rounds off the sound image of the 2.1-channel Bluetooth speakers. The case features a 270° sound dispersion design, while the digital sound processor transmits undistorted bass and clear highs.

In addition, the BenQ GV30 is equipped with Android TV 9.0, which allows access to Google Play. Thus, over 5,000 apps, movies, TV shows, live sports broadcasts, news, games as well as music can be used. Amazon Prime Video Originals can also be launched with just the push of a button in combination with the companion app “Apps Manager”. iOS devices and notebooks can also be used for wireless picture and sound transmission.
