CAM 513: 4K capable 94 degree wide angle webcam from AVerMedia

Streaming with 4K

AVerMedia has thought of streamers during the development. The CAM 513, with its F2.8 aperture and Sony Exmor R 4K CMOS sensor, is designed to deliver superb 4K video quality. The 94-degree wide-angle lens is perfect for capturing backgrounds and larger groups. The lens shutter protects the cam from hackers.

With the CamEngine the user can adjust image and video settings according to his own wishes. Fun stickers and filters are also possible with the app. For this purpose the CAM 513 has an on
artificial intelligence based motion tracking on board. Due to the Plug & Play function the webcam is compatible with streaming software from OBS, XSplit, Streamlabs OBS and other providers.

Intelligent functions

With the ePTZ function, the user can prevent quality losses when zooming. Settings can be specified and changed for the respective zoom ranges of the 4K sensor. This ensures a consistent quality of the video when zooming. The ePTZ function is particularly suitable for streamers and YouTuber. As it is very practical especially for game surfaces with a lot of activity on small screens. This is also due to the included streaming software RECentral, which allows streaming on multiple platforms simultaneously. The software supports the webcam feed with different resolutions or bit rates. Also a channel logo and several overlays can be displayed. In addition, the AI motion tracking is also possible. This tracks the speaker’s face and movements and keeps him or her in the picture at all times. This means that the position of the camera does not have to be adjusted again and again during the recording. The CamEngine can also be used without problems with teams and zoom, which is a great advantage especially in times of home office and home schooling.

Availability and price

According to, the AVerMedia CAM 513 is expected to be available from December 8th and will cost about $250, which would be about 210 Euros (excluding taxes). However, it will not be delivered until the end of December. When the cam will be available in Germany cannot be said at the moment.
