Available for Android and iOS smartphones, Dell Mobile Connect software enables wireless integration of computers and smartphones. The software presented at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019 can be used with all Dell XPS, Inspiron, Vostro and Alienware devices with Windows 10 installed. The free software is available now.
Dell Mobile Connect allows you to mirror the contents of your smartphone to your computer. Notifications from the smartphone are also displayed directly on the computer. Users can also use their computer to make calls, write messages, and drag and drop files between devices.
As a new function, the software, which has been available since 2018, has been integrated with Virtual Reality just in time for CES 2019. According to Dell, this is currently still a demo that will show the functions that will be available in the future. Users can accept calls in VR applications and respond to messages. The contents of the smartphone display can also be mirrored within VR applications without interrupting their use.
