ScreenPad Plus in ZenBook Pro Duo: Asus Shows What is Possible

In addition to the new ScreenPad, Asus will also be presenting the plus version of this innovative touch control unit at this year’s Computex. It is used in the “ZenBook Pro Duo”.

Here, the control unit not only occupies the space of an ordinary touchpad, but almost the entire width of the laptop. Asus also uses a 4K resolution for this. Also new is the fact that the ScreenPad can be used not only as a control unit, but also to display content. It can therefore be either – or alternately – a control element and a second screen. Asus shows impressively what is possible with the ScreenPad.

In addition to this gigantic ScreenPad, the device has a main display measuring 15.7 inches diagonally, which supports HDR and completely covers the P3 color space.

The manufacturer did not say much about further technical equipment. The device can be equipped with a maximum of Intel core processors of the ninth generation and a GeForce RTX-2060 from Nvidia. The RAM can contain a maximum of 32 GB, while a maximum of one TB of internal memory is provided. In addition to this version, Asus will also offer a slimmed-down 14-inch model.

The device is expected to be launched on the market in the third quarter. The minimum price is 2.399 Euro.
