Cooler Master MM710 & MM711 Lightweight Gaming Mice Released
Mice with perforated housings for weight reduction are currently very popular. In addition to the 69 gram Xtrfy M4 RGB (Platinum Award) and the 67 gram Glorious PC Gaming Race Model O (Silver Award), Cooler Master has now introduced the MM710 and MM711, two perforated gaming mice that weigh only 53 and 57 grams respectively. The two new Cooler Master mice are technically and ergonomically identical, with the exception of the RGB lighting that is also present in the MM711.
The shape of the two mice is based on the MasterMouse S, which has been available for some time Cooler MasterMouse S. With a weight of only 53 grams, the Cooler Master MM710 is currently the lightest gaming mouse. Only the MadCatz R.A.T. 1, which was released in 2015, undercuts the weight minimally by 50 grams.
The low weight, which, according to Cooler Master, could change slightly before the release, is achieved by the hexagon holes, which cover the entire case with the exception of the two main castings. A compromise between durability and flexibility was found for the cable sheathing, which is already known from the Finalmouse Air58 Ninja.
The other components are also convincing. A PixArts PMW-3389 sensor is installed, which is also used in the Endgame Gear XM1 and the HyperX Pulsefire Dart RGB. The resolution can be set in five steps from 100 DPI to a maximum of 16,000 DPI. Omron’s primary key switches have a lifetime of at least 20 million clicks. It is also possible, however, that the higher quality version, which can withstand at least 50 million clicks, will be used.
The Cooler Master MM710 (without RGB lighting), available in black and white, can already be ordered for 49.99 Euro. The MM711 (with RGB lighting) is to be priced at 59.99 euros and will be available at the end of November.
