Corsair XENEON 27QHD240 OLED: Gaming monitor with low latency announced

The XENEON series of gaming monitors from Corsair has grown. Following the innovative and bendable XENEON Flex, the Corsair XENEON 27QHD240 OLED is a classic monitor with a high refresh rate and low latency.

The Corsair XENEON 27QHD240 OLED in detail

The new Corsair XENEON 27QHD240 OLED gaming monitor relies on the latest LG OLED display technology with META technology and Micro Lens Array (MLA). This innovative new technology places a focus lens in front of each pixel, boosting brightness far beyond previous generation OLED panels for increased color brilliance.

In the process, the monitor boasts a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1 and gets up to 1,000 nits of brightness. The DCI-P3 color space is covered by 98.5%, which also makes the display suitable for creative work. HDR10 is of course also supported.

On a screen diagonal of 27 inches, the monitor resolves in 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and offers a refresh rate of 240 hertz. The response time is just 0.03 seconds, together with the pixel on/off time of 0.01 ms, blurry movements don’t stand a chance. In addition, the monitor offers NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD Freesync Premium.

The monitor swivels 60°, tilts 22°, adjusts 100 mm in height, rotates 90° on the stand in either direction, or attaches to a monitor arm via the standard VESA mount.

Modern connectivity

The Corsair XENEON 27QHD240 OLED is equipped with plenty of modern connectivity. No less than two HDMI 2.1 ports ensure fast image playback, even in combination with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Alternatively, the connection is made via DisplayPort 1.4 or USB Type-C with DisplayPort Alt mode. In addition, there is one USB 3.1 Type-C and four USB 3.1 Type A ports for connecting peripherals.

The front controls feature an innovative proximity sensor that is supposed to guide you to the power button when it is turned off. However that works. Otherwise, operation is practically with an OSD joystick.

Like the XENEON FLEX 45 OLED, the XENEON 27 OLED also features a number of burn-in protection techniques to maintain a clean image even after prolonged use of overlays, user interfaces or operating systems.

Price and Availability

The Corsair XENEON 27QHD240 OLED gaming monitor is expected to be available in May 2023 from the manufacturer’s webstore, as well as online. Corsair has yet to provide us with concrete details about the prices. Even the official product website does not provide any additional details, so we will have to wait a bit longer.
