der8auer RYZEN 3000 OC mounting frame: Up to 7 degrees lower temperatures

The professional overclocker Roman “der8auer” Hartung presents its latest development for PC enthusiasts: der8auer RYZEN 3000 OC mounting frame. They were specially developed for the optimized cooling of AMD CPUs of the RYZEN 3000 series. They are designed to enable better performance of water coolers. This enables up to 7 degrees Celsius lower temperatures – depending on processor, mainboard and cooling solution. PC enthusiasts know that every degree counts when overclocking.

der8auer RYZEN 3000 OC mounting frame: Two versions for PC hobbyists

PC hobbyists can purchase the 8auer RYZEN 3000 OC mounting frames in two versions. There is the frame for AiO water-cooling systems, which is kept simple and therefore easy to mount. With the custom mounting frame, mounting looks a little more complicated. Custom watercooling systems usually also have custom heat sinks or differently shaped heat sinks. These have to be mounted differently. Fortunately, the custom mounting frame offers extremely flexible adjustment possibilities.

How do the RYZEN 3000 OC mounting frames of the 8auer RYZEN 3000 OC manage to reach the up to 7 degrees lower temperatures? Very simple: The cooling block is moved. This way you don’t have to decapitate the processor and you don’t lose your warranty for the processor if you want to equip your PC with better cooling. AMD Ryzen 3000 Series CPUs are based on the chipset design that AMD introduced with the Zen2 architecture. The thermal center, called the hotspot, is then no longer in the middle of the processor. Using the RYZEN 3000 PC mounting frame, the cool center of the water cooling can be moved to the hotspot of the CPU. This enables optimum cooling and heat dissipation.
