With the EcoFlow home energy ecosystem, the expert for modern energy solutions has presented new product highlights. This is intended to be a holistic energy system that can also help to save money effectively thanks to the collaboration with Tibber.
Independence with EcoFlow Home Energy Ecosystem
There are now many different manufacturers of modern energy solutions. As a result, many end customers rely on products from a wide variety of manufacturers in their homes. This often leads to restrictions in ease of use and annoying incompatibility. EcoFlow wants to tackle this problem with the EcoFlow home energy ecosystem.
The latest product line is made up of various devices. On the one hand, there is the flagship PowerOcean – a solar system with matching storage. With PowerHeat and PowerGlow, there are not only suitable heating solutions. With PowerPulse EV, there is also a suitable wallbox for electric cars. The company also offers smart devices.
EcoFlow app with great features
The EcoFlow app is designed to ensure ease of use. This is not only due to the usual good overview of the smartphone application. The app also ensures that you can conveniently control all devices in the EcoFlow home energy ecosystem via one interface. And that’s not all. The EcoFlow app also offers a few cool features.
Firstly, there is the “solar forecast”. Here you should be able to get nothing less than a “real-time forecast of expected solar production”. Another new feature is “Energy Allocation”, where the PowerOcean is individually automated based on your energy conditions. The same applies to the “tariff forecast”. This should help the user to purchase energy cost-effectively via Tibber.
Cooperation with Tibber
The collaboration between EcoFlow and the green energy provider Tibber should be particularly helpful. According to the manufacturer, this should further increase the level of energy self-sufficiency and also significantly reduce costs. The latter is to be achieved with energy optimization algorithms. These take effect when energy prices fluctuate, thereby reducing electricity costs. This is where the tariff forecast comes into play, with which electricity prices can be called up in real time.
The big advantage: you can strategically plan when to draw electricity from the grid. Corresponding adjustments should also be made in the Tibber app. The “Smart Battery Plan” is also included. With the PowerOcean series, this should automatically make adjustments depending on the forecast energy prices and solar production. In general, EcoFlow aims to score points with an extra portion of energy management.
In view of these features, it is not surprising that EcoFlow Europe CEO Ryan Xing sees the collaboration with Tibber as “a groundbreaking milestone”. EcoFlow wants to support its customers in optimizing their own “energy consumption with unprecedented precision and simplicity”. This not only saves money, but also helps them to produce clean, self-generated solar power.
EcoFlow PowerOcean Plus at the heart of the system
A highlight of the EcoFlow home energy ecosystem is the PowerOcean Plus. This enables a maximum output power of 29.9 kW via AC. The inverter can accommodate up to four PV strings and can deliver a maximum PV output of 40 kW. According to EcoFlow, complex roof constructions should also be possible without any problems. One highlight is the integrated meter, which installers in particular should be pleased about.
After all, this should reduce installation time by up to 40 percent. The IP65-certified battery pack is designed to provide protection against adverse weather conditions. The fire protection module in turn reduces the risk of fire. Furthermore, the combination of storage system and inverter in the aluminum housing should be able to offer a highly developed battery management system (BMS). EcoFlow promises the highest safety standards here.
EcoFlow home energy ecosystem: Availability
