Enermax ETS-T50 AXE Silent Edition Introduced

A few days ago Enermax presented a very quiet version of the popular ETS-T50 AXE processor cooler. The Enermax ETS-T50 AXE Silent Edition should be able to cool processors with up to 230 Watt TDP despite its low volume thanks to its 14 cm fan.

Thanks to the asymmetrical design, high RAM modules can also be installed despite the massive heat sink. The 6 mm heatpipes with the so-called “Heat Pipe Direct Touch Technology” (HDT) ensure faster heat transfer compared to conventional coolers. Enermax was able to achieve this by installing the heatpipes in such a way that they lie directly on the processor. This prevents the resistance that otherwise occurs through the base plate between the processor and the heatpipes.

In addition, the built-in high-pressure fan has been specially optimized for use with processor coolers. Thanks to the patented Twister bearing technology, the fan should produce only a low noise level even at high speeds during operation. Depending on the load, speeds between 500 and 100 revolutions per minute are possible. Enermax indicates a service life of 160,000 hours (MTBF).

Since 21 January the cooler is available for 39,90 Euro.
