Environmentally Friendly and Energy Efficient: Philips Presents 241B7QGJEB

Philips wants to reach a new target group with the new monitor “241B7QGJEB” and focuses on energy efficiency and environmental friendliness. The 24-inch monitor with full HD display is supplied in a fully recyclable package and, according to the manufacturer, should be highly energy-efficient.

Brand license partner MMD, which produces the device, praises the new screen as the industry’s most energy-efficient device and also promotes compliance with several environmental standards.

The device is made of lightweight, 85 percent recycled plastic, which bears the TCO Edge label. Lead, mercury, PVC/BFR or halogen are searched for in vain – the material is free of these pollutants, which can usually be found in IT equipment. The manufacturer also states that, in addition to the packaging, all plastic and metal chassis parts of the screen are fully recyclable. The environmental friendliness of the device is also proven by the EPEAT eco-label, with which it has been awarded.

Energy efficiency is ensured, among other things, by a power sensor that uses infrared signals to detect the absence of the user and then automatically adjusts the monitor brightness. According to the manufacturer, this additional function should already save up to 80 percent in energy costs. Furthermore, the device is equipped with an on/off switch, which disconnects it completely from the mains when switched off.

In addition to these environmental and energy-related advantages, the screen should also offer technical sales arguments. It has a full HD IPS panel with blue light reduction and flicker-free technology. In addition, the panel is equipped with the SmartImage, SmartContrast and SmartResponse technologies, which automatically ensure particularly sharp and clear images. Video playback should also benefit from automatic optimization. In addition, the monitor should score with its narrow edges, which allow the almost transition-free connection of several monitors to a multi-monitor setup.

Thanks to an ergonomic, fully adjustable stand and a VESA mount, the screen can be adapted to the needs of a wide range of users.
