EPOS H3: New gaming headset unveiled

EPOS has unveiled its H3, a brand new headset that aims to impress gamers with its very special design. According to Maja Sand-Grimnitz, Director of Global Marketing at EPOS, this is nothing less than “the perfect headset for gamers who want to take their gaming experience to the next level while exceeding their expectations for entry-level premium audio products.” Let’s take a look at the latest gaming headset from EPOS.

Immersive Sound

“High-quality sound is one of the most important components for immersing ourselves in new gaming worlds, and the H3 delivers on the promise of taking us exactly there” says Sand-Grimnitz. On paper at least, the wired headset for demanding gamers seems to deliver just that. The special closed acoustics should not only be able to provide a first-class sound, but also a maximum of immersion. This should benefit the enemy location and the atmosphere in every game. Last but not least, the integrated microphone should ensure that you can always have the best possible communication in multiplayer games.

When it comes to materials, EPOS focuses on keeping weight to a minimum. Thanks to the choice of raw materials that are not only lightweight but also durable, the company should achieve this goal. The headset is available in either Ghost White or Onyx Black. EPOS claims to have designed the headset in such a way that it fits all conceivable head sizes. To adjust the volume, you use the easily accessible volume control, which is located on the right ear cup. The built-in microphone is supposed to offer crystal clear sound. Thanks to an effective reduction of background noise, teammates don’t have to endure any annoying background noise. If you want to mute yourself, you can automatically activate the mute function by simply flipping up the earpiece.

High compatibility

All devices that have a 3.5mm jack connector can be connected to the EPOS H3. In addition, it features compatibility with all EPOS external sound cards. This includes the popular GSX 300 and GSX 1200 PRO devices. EPOS relies on stainless steel sliders for its H3, which allow for a comfortable fit for each user. The adjustable headband should thus lead to a high wearing comfort in combination with the foldable ear cups and the padding. Thus, even hours-long gaming sessions should not be a problem. Due to the closed design, the EPOS H3 should be able to offer passive noise cancellation.
