Eufy Omni S1 Pro: Secure your robot vacuum now with an early bird discount!

When it comes to smart homes, eufy is one of the big players on the market. The Anker subsidiary has so far mainly scored points in our test lab with its high-quality surveillance cameras. But with the Eufy Omni S1 Pro, the company is making it clear that it also has modern household technology to offer. The smart household helper is now available on Kickstarter with an attractive early bird discount.

Eufy Omni S1 Pro launches new S-series

With the Eufy Omni S1 Pro, the Anker subsidiary aims to establish a small revolution in the field of household robots. After all, it is the “world’s first floor mopping robot with vacuum cleaner and self-cleaning in real time”. Similar to Roborock, eufy is introducing an S-series, which will now comprise the premium line-up. A look at the features makes it clear that this vacuum cleaner definitely has what it takes to keep up with the big boys.

The clearest difference to traditional models from the competition becomes apparent when you take a look at the underside. Here, a 290 mm long roll mop rotates at 170 rpm. It applies a pressure of 10 N to the surface, which should remove even stubborn dirt. The focus is therefore clearly on the mopping function, whereby the whole thing is reminiscent of wet and dry vacuum cleaners. The manufacturer has already proven that eufy knows its way around here with its Mach V1 (test).

Focus on mopping

The smart household helper also offers a powerful suction power of 8,000 pascals to ensure that dirt is reliably vacuumed up. Given the clear focus on wet cleaning, this model is not necessarily suitable for households with many carpets. However, if you have one or two carpets in your home, you probably won’t have to worry about them.

The Eufy Omni S1 Pro is said to be able to raise its mopping roller by 12 mm without further ado. This should prevent the carpet from becoming damp. The robot hoover itself contains a second tank system, which we are also familiar with from models with suction and cleaning functions. There is a fresh water tank and a dirty water tank inside. While the fresh water ensures that the roll is moistened, the other tank contains the extracted dirty water.

Eufy also wants to offer a corresponding cleaning agent to ensure maximum hygiene. With “Eco-Clean Ozone”, the smart household helper will then be able to generate ozone on its own to effectively disinfect the roll. This feature should not only ensure hygienic cleaning, but also prevent limescale build-up in the robot’s water-bearing elements.

Eufy Omni S1 Pro comes with a comprehensive base station

A look at the first product images makes it clear that the charging station of the eufy Omni S1 Pro is not simply intended to ensure that the smart household helper has a full battery. Rather, it is a base station that cleans the device fully automatically. Once the smart household helper has finished its cleaning tour, it returns to the base station. There, the dirt container is vacuumed first. Like other manufacturers, eufy also uses a dust bag in the base station.

According to the manufacturer, it should last 68 days before it needs to be replaced with a new one. Furthermore, the collected dirty water is sucked up and the mopping roller is cleaned. Once cleaning is complete, the mop is dried using hot air to prevent the build-up of bacteria and unpleasant odors. Finally, the base station refills the fresh water tank in the robot hoover and mop. The eufy Omni S1 Pro is then fully ready for use again.

Last but not least, the cool design should also be emphasized. Eufy has gone for a futuristic look here, which the first product images show to be very appealing. The transparent water tank in particular could be a real eye-catcher. It should not only look good, but also be practical. After all, you should always be able to keep an eye on the water level by looking inside the tank. The vacuum cleaner itself, which has a flat design, is also stylish.

3D MatrixEye provides navigation

Even if you might not realize it at first glance due to its flat design, the eufy Omni S1 Pro relies on LiDAR technology for its navigation. In turn, 3D MatrixEye is used for object and obstacle detection. Here, the smart household helper relies on a combination of infrared sensors and an RGB camera. Once again, the app is designed to ensure convenient operation and a wide range of setting options.

Price and availability

It sounds like the Anker subsidiary has a real hot potato with its eufy Omni S1 Pro. Pre-sales of the promising floor mopping robot have now started. If you buy now, you can benefit from an attractive Super-Early-Bird discount on Kickstarter. If you are one of the first 500 backers, you will save 40 percent on the RRP. And this saving is quite something. After all, the floor mopping robot will be launched at an RRP of 1,499 US dollars (approx. 1,383 euros). Regular sales are then scheduled to start in summer 2024.
