Glorious GMMK 2: New edition of the custom keyboard announced

Shortly after the Glorious GMMK Pro Pre-Built Edition, the manufacturer has introduced a new edition of the popular custom keyboard from their own company. The Glorious GMMK 2 comes as a compact or full-size keyboard and is either fully equipped or freely configurable (barebone). A Cherry MX compatible hot-swap PCB is used, which offers the free choice between mechanical switches and keycaps.

Glorious GMMK 2: Custom keyboard returns

Fans of a custom-assembled keyboard should like the Glorious GMMK 2. Cerry MX compatible 5-pin hot-swapping is offered on all models and allows for extensive customization of the keyboard. Due to the broad compatibility, a variety of keycaps can be used.

The frame is made of anodized, brushed aluminum and is supposed to be particularly robust, while RGB lighting provides an additional highlight. 18 pre-installed presets already provide for variety ex works, and with the Glorious CORE software, you can also create your own lighting effects and customize other functions of the GMMK 2. The Glorious GMMK 2 also features an aluminum bezel with a polymer underside that provides a durable and robust base.

Compact or Full-Size

The Glorious GMMK 2 Compact model offers 68 keys and relies on a compact 60 percent form factor. Those who do not want to do without the number pad will reach for the Full-Size model. Thanks to the hybrid design, a complete set of keys fits into a compact frame here, which is only slightly larger than a TKL keyboard.

The Glorious Fox linear switches are factory lubricated, and offer a classic linear typing feel with minimal frictional resistance. The release pressure is 45g. The hot-swappable PCB and included switch puller allows for quick replacement of keycaps and switches to customize the keyboard to your tastes.

Price and Availability

The Glorious GMMK 2 comes barebones or already assembled in the two sizes mentioned. All models will be available from the online store of Caseking from the end of April. Prices start at 89.90 euros for the GMMK 2 barebone in compact or full size. Both formats cost 129.90 euros, ready to go with Glorious Fox Linear Switches and Doubleshot ABS keycaps.
