Home schooling equipment from Medion as of July 2021

Not only for the home office, but also for home schooling, there are new devices from Medion at Aldi. Thus, two tablets and a new notebook from Medion will be released in July.

Children’s tablet – Medion Lifetab E10440

Medion’s new launches kicked off with the rugged Medion Lifetab E10440 tablet, which is particularly suitable for children of kindergarten and primary school age. The tablet comes with a 10.1-inch IPS panel that resolves in 1,280 x 800 pixels and has a quad-core processor as well as 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage on board. The storage can still be expanded with an SD card. Google Kids Space is already installed, which allows children to discover content themselves, learn new things and give free rein to their creativity. Parents can manage the installation of apps and also control the usage times via Family Link.

At the same time, the tablet is in a case that serves to protect it from bumps. The included case also has an integrated stand, so the tablet can be placed in a variety of positions. The stand also serves as a practical carrying handle for the Lifetab E10440. To make the tablet really suitable for home schooling, two cameras, one on the back with 2 MP and one 2 MP camera on the front, stereo speakers, a microphone, Bluetooth and WLAN have been integrated into the tablet.

On the connectivity side, the Kidstablet has a USB 2.0 Type C, a microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC memory card reader and a 3.5 mm jack. The battery specifications are not 100 percent accurate, so there is talk of an approx. 6,000 mAh Li-ion battery with 22.8 W. The dimensions of the tablet are 259 x 156 x 9.5 mm (W x H x D) and a weight of about 570 g. The protective case measures 282 x 176 mm and weighs 217 g. All in all, both are then at 787 g and are thus still well portable for children.

Home Schooling and Leisure with the Medion Lifetab P10912 Education Tablet

The same display size, but a slightly different feature set is offered by the new Medion Lifetab Education P10912. It also has a 10-inch IPS panel, but it resolves in Full HD with 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The whole thing is supported by an octa-core processor with a clock rate of up to 2.3 GHz. In addition, there is 4 GB of RAM and an internal storage with a size of 64 GB. The internal storage can also be expanded with an SD card.

An LTE module has also been installed in the Lifetab P10912 Education Tablet, so users can get straight to work. The tablet also comes with a practical protective case, a detachable Bluetooth keyboard and a pen for writing on the tablet. All of these accessories are included right out of the box. Furthermore, Microsoft Office 365, Phase 6 and the PONS dictionary with learning functions have already been installed. The tablet is aimed at secondary school students in particular and is supposed to enable independent learning with technology.

Again, an approximately 6,000 mAh (22.8Wh) Li-ion battery has been installed. In addition, there is an 8 MP camera on the back and a 5 MP front camera. In terms of ports, the Lifetab P10912 Education Tablet has a microSIM card slot, a USB 2.0 Type C, a microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC memory card reader and a 3.5 mm jack. With protective case and keyboard, the tablet comes a dimension of 258 x 194.5 x 30mm (W x H x D) and a total weight of 1,045 g.

Notebook with a large display – Medion Akoya E3222

Last but not least, the Medion Akoya E3222 notebook is coming out in July. An Intel Pentium Silver N5030 processor with Intel UHD Graphics is housed in a noble aluminum case. The content is displayed on 13.3 inches with IPS technology in Full HD resolution, which is a touch display. In addition, there are 4 GB of DDR4 RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage. The 2-cell battery with 41 Wh has a runtime of up to 8.5 hours and should thus be able to last a school or work day. With the HD webcam, dual-array microphone and the two loudspeakers, the notebook is optimally equipped for video conferences. The notebook is connected via Intel Wireless-AC 9462 and integrated Bluetooth 5.1. The Medion Akoya E3222 offers a card reader for microSD memory cards, a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C with DisplayPort function, a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, a USB 2.0, a mini HDMI out, a power adapter port, as well as an audio combination port (Mic-in, Audio-out).

On the software side, the notebook also has something on board so that you can get started right away, so a year’s subscription of Microsoft 365 is included. Otherwise, the notebook runs Windows 10 Home. The dimensions are 31.5 x 1.57 x 21.5 cm (W x H x D) and a weight of 1.46 kg.
