InWin 928 Super Tower: A Luxury Case of Superlatives

In Win Development Inc. (InWin) is one of the leading manufacturers of innovative PC cases. With the 928 Super Tower, In Win released a premium PC case of superlatives, which they presented at the CES 2019.

With the 928, InWin presented an absolute luxury tower at the CES 2019 in Las Vegas, USA. The case has been available in the USA since 16 May for $999 – and already after 12 days “out of stock”! With this proud price, it is aimed above all at customers who prioritise performance and yet do not want to accept any compromises in terms of aesthetics. It is still unclear whether, when and at what price the case will also be launched on the German market.

The InWin 928 Super Tower was developed especially for the ROG Dominus Extreme motherboard from Asus and is correspondingly large (22.9 x 13.3 x 26.3 inches, or 582 x 337 x 668mm at a weight of 23 kg). With its 14×14 inch format, the ROG Dominus does not correspond to the standard board format and therefore does not fit into standard PC cases. The 928 also offers room for two power supplies to deliver the power you need, and is also compatible with 28-core processors such as Intel’s latest XEON W-3175X. Up to twelve 140 millimetre fans can be accommodated inside for ventilation.

Aesthetics

In Win defined with the 928 aesthetics new. The company describes the 928 as a “tribute to luxury”. Anodised brushed 4 mm thick aluminium and a side panel of tempered glass that allows a view of the hardware components make the 928 a real eye-catcher. The addressable RGB lighting (ARGB) skilfully sets the scene for the built-in hardware and the In Win logos. Attention to detail at every point rounds off the aesthetics of this case.
If this is not enough, the tower can also be equipped with a water cooling system. The housing offers enough space for two 420 mm radiators with a height of up to 45 millimetres.

Dual GPU Placement

With the 928, In Win gives the user the possibility to install the GPU not only horizontally, but also vertically thanks to the InWin PCI-E riser cable provided, in order to individualize the appearance of his PC as desired and to optimally stage the GPU.

Connections

The Tower offers a modern USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C, two USB 3.0 and a HD audio connection.

The InWin 928 is a superlative case that offers enough space for the latest high-performance hardware without compromising on aesthetics. The RGB lighting and the possible water cooling make the case an absolute eye-catcher. The price of $999 is indeed very high, but in comparison to the price of the installed components it is rather secondary. Those who prioritize performance will not be able to avoid this piece of jewellery.
