Klipsch Cinema 600: Soundbar with rich surround sound now available

The sound experts from Klipsch launch a promising soundbar on the market with the Cinema 600. It is supposed to provide a comprehensive enjoyment of movies, music and games thanks to rich surround sound. The soundbar is supported by a wireless subwoofer, which is supposed to provide a powerful bass sound. We take a closer look at the new soundbar for home theater enthusiasts.

Saturated Klipsch sound for your own four walls

The name Klipsch will not only mean something to hi-fi experts. After all, the company from the USA has been providing revolutionary sound for decades. In addition to compact headphones, large speakers have always been part of the product portfolio of the sound experts. The company’s long experience has not only flowed into the regular release of new products, but was also reflected in the area of research and development. Now Klipsch wants to prove its expertise in the field of home theater entertainment once again. With the Cinema 600 soundbar, you should be able to secure a rich cinema sound in your own four walls. In cooperation with the subwoofer included in the scope of delivery, the system is supposed to come up with an impressive 600 watts.

This should ensure evening entertainment. At the heart of the subwoofer is an 8-inch driver, which is supposed to provide massive effects. The soundbar in turn comes with three separate channels. Thus, Klipsch promises a wide sound stage, which is supposed to ensure that dialogs are not drowned out. Klipsch does not only want to pay attention to the sound itself, but also to the user-friendliness. Thus, the Americans have installed an optical port as well as a classic 3.5 mm jack in addition to the HDMI port including Audio Return Channel (ARC). Wireless music playback is to ensure integrated Bluetooth.

Many setting options

Good sound is always a subjective matter. Therefore, test listening is always part of buying a new system. However, more and more manufacturers rely on extensive setting options, so that you can customize new speakers to your own needs. Klipsch is no exception. With the Cinema 600, you should be able to make uncomplicated sound optimizations with the help of the included remote control. Especially movie fans who are annoyed by the weak dialog reproduction of home theater systems might find the right solution here.

Finally, the Cinema 600 offers a total of three different dialogue modes, for example. This allows the speech intelligibility to be adjusted quite individually. Those who are not a fan of cable clutter will be happy about the integrated Bluetooth 5.0, by the way. Here, modern TVs can be connected wirelessly and without loss. Apart from that, comfortable music enjoyment via smartphone or other Bluetooth sources is possible without any problems.

Build your own home theater

If the 3.1 sound of the soundbar and subwoofer is not enough, you can flexibly expand the system. This is where the optionally available “Surround 3” speakers come into play. They are positioned behind the user and are supposed to provide a real 5.1 surround sound. However, the subwoofer of the Cinema 600 already scores in terms of flexibility. Since Klipsch does without annoying cables, you can place the active subwoofer wherever you want. The only requirement here is a power connection.

Price and availability

If you’re currently looking for a lush home theater system due to closed cinemas, but don’t have too much space ready in your living room, you should definitely take a look at the Cinema 600. The US company charges an RRP of 599.00 Euros in this country. If the 3.1 sound isn’t enough, you can add the optional Surround 3 rear speakers for an RRP of 299.00 Euros.
