Klipsch Heritage Groove: Bluetooth speaker available in retro design

With the Klipsch Heritage Groove, the manufacturer is launching its retro-design Bluetooth speaker, which was introduced last year, just in time for summer. In addition to its unique look, the wireless speaker features a compact design and battery life for up to 8 hours of music playback.

The Klipsch Heritage Groove is ready for summer

Klipsch expands its Heritage speaker series with a wireless model that focuses on a chic vintage look with real wood veneer and dynamic rich sound. The Klipsch Heritage Groove is quite compact at 127 mm x 152 mm x 67 mm (height x width x depth) and is still quite portable thanks to a weight of 2.2 kg.

Inside, finely tuned speakers with a total output of 20 watts provide the “legendary Klipsch sound”. They are composed of a 3-inch aluminum tweeter complete with advanced DSP and two passive, side-mounted bass cones that are supposed to produce a full-bodied sound image. Maximum volume is 97 dB at 0.5 meters. A frequency band of 65 Hz to 22,000 Hz is covered.

Wirelessly, the Heritage Groove finds connection via Bluetooth, the manufacturer does not give details about the version. There is also a 3.5mm jack input and an integrated microphone for hands-free phone calls.

Operation and battery life

The Klipsch Heritage Groove comes in a choice of black with a metal grille or walnut with a fabric cover. Despite the particularly space-saving design, the vintage design was realized with elaborate real wood veneer. A felt covering or a metal grille in “mid-century design” has been adopted from the other speakers in the series.

The Bluetooth speaker is operated via retro buttons on the top, with which you can switch between audio sources, pause or play music and adjust the volume. The built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 2,200 mAh and should be enough for eight hours of music playback. Charging is done with the help of the included microUSB cable.

Price and Availability

The Klipsch Heritage Groove already available in stores for a while. The manufacturer’s MSRP is 169.00 euros. On Amazon, however, you can already get the speaker from around 142 euros. More details can be found on the official product website.
