Lenovo Legion Tab: Gaming tablet with 144 Hz display comes to Europe

The Lenovo Legion Tab, a handy and powerful gaming tablet, will soon be launched in Germany and Europe after the device was released in China last year as the Legion Tab Y700 2023. It relies on a fast chip and a 144 Hz display.

Lenovo Legion Tab: All information about the gaming tablet

With the Lenovo Legion Tab, an extremely exciting gaming tablet will be making its way to Germany and Europe at the end of March, as the manufacturer has now revealed in a press release.

The tablet comes with comparatively handy dimensions of 208.54 mm x 129.46 mm x 7.6 mm and, at 350 grams, weighs significantly less than a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, for example. In return, Lenovo’s gaming tablet features an 8.8-inch display with a QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz, which is up to 500 nits bright, supports Dolby Vision and covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor is used, which still promises excellent performance despite being two years old. It is supported by 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of system memory, which can be expanded using a microSD card.

An integrated haptic system is designed to make games on the tablet more tangible and improve immersion. For cooling, the Legion Tab relies on a large vapor chamber including three operating modes for better cooling or longer battery life.

Technically, the Lenovo Legion Tab competes with its own gaming handheld Legion Go, which relies on a display with the same specifications, but is significantly larger and heavier. However, it is also ahead in terms of chip and RAM. The Legion Go also uses Windows, while the tablet works with Android.

Large battery, strong connectivity

The Lenovo Legion Tab has a 6,55 mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C with 45 watts. However, the tablet also has a second USB-C port to be able to use additional accessories in parallel with charging or to output the image to an external monitor thanks to DisplayPort Alt mode.

Thanks to Lenovo Freestyle, content can also be shared quickly and easily between the tablet and Lenovo Legion notebooks. The connectivity of the tablet, which is available in Storm Grey, is rounded off with fast Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

The manufacturer does not provide any further details, but if the specifications match the Lenovo Legion Tab Y700, you can also look forward to a 12 MP main camera with a 2 MP camera, an 8 MP selfie camera with face recognition and impressive speakers.

Price and availability

The Lenovo Legion Tab will be available in stores in March 2024. The manufacturer’s recommended retail price is 599 euros.
