Lexar has launched a new, extremely fast SSD on the market with the NM1090. This PCIe 5.0 SSD offers impressive speeds and is aimed at demanding users who do not want to compromise on performance.

Performance and compatibility
The Lexar NM1090 achieves remarkable speeds via PCIe Gen 5. Thanks to four PCIe lanes and modern technologies such as a DRAM cache and dynamic SLC cache, the SSD achieves a read speed of up to 12,000 MB/s and a write speed of up to 11,000 MB/s for the 4 TB and 2 TB versions. The smaller 1 TB version achieves 11,500 MB/s and 9,000 MB/s.
This makes it ideal for high-end applications, games and professional workloads. Microsoft Direct Storage is also supported, which further increases performance in compatible systems.
Design and cooling
Measuring 80 x 22 x 2.45 mm in M.2 2280 format, the NM1090 is compact and fits into most modern PCs and laptops. The integrated heat sink, which actively cools with a fan, is particularly noteworthy. The RGB lighting also provides an appealing visual highlight, especially in gaming systems.
Price and availability
The Lexar NM1090 is available immediately. Prices vary depending on capacity: the 2 TB version costs around 350 euros, while the 1 TB version is available for 210 euros.
