LG X power3 Smartphone with 4,500 mAh Battery Launched

The new LG X power3 is supposed to convince above all by its very high battery capacity. After the X power with 4,100 mAh and the X power2 with 4,500 mAh, the new LG X power3 with 4,500 mAh capacity also offers a battery that makes even most high-end smartphones look old. In addition to the large battery, the smartphone also has a quick charge function. According to LG, the battery can be half charged within one hour, 100 percent within two hours.

The 199 euro expensive device of the lower middle class is delivered with Android 8.1 Oreo. An update to Android 9.0 Pie will probably not be available due to the low price. In order to achieve the longest possible service life, LG has installed energy-saving components in addition to the very large battery, including the 5.5-inch display with 1,280 x 720 pixels. LG promises that the display will also withstand shocks and drops without any problems.

The relatively old MediaTek MT6750 processor offers eight Cortex A53 cores with a maximum of 1.5 GHz. The RAM is relatively small with 2 GByte and also the internal memory with 32 GByte is not up to date anymore. However, it can be expanded via microSD card.

Bokeh effect despite single camera

Although the smartphone only has a single camera with 13 megapixels, portrait shots with a bokeh effect should be possible. The fingerprint sensor on the back can also be used as a so-called “Smart Rear Key” to trigger the camera. In addition, a double tap on the fingerprint sensor creates a screenshot.

The 120-degree wide-angle lens of the 5-megapixel front camera should be able to photograph a field of view that makes group photos possible even without a self-stick.

The LG X power3 will be available in the colour “Moroccan Blue” from the end of the week.
