Medion Erazer Beast X25 and Medion Erazer Deputy P25 at Aldi

With the Medion Erazer Beast X25, Aldi will soon offer an absolute high-end gaming notebook in its online store. The 17-incher relies on an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 laptop and 64 GB of working memory. Besides that, there is a second, cheaper gaming notebook with the Medion Erazer Deputy P25.

Medion Erazer Beast X25 at Aldi

Starting on November 09, discounter Aldi will offer two new gaming notebooks at a bargain price in its online store. The top model is called Medion Erazer Beast X25 and comes with excellent features.

The Beast is equipped with a 17.3-inch (43.9 cm) IPS display with a QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor (3.3 GHz clock, up to 4.6 GHz in Turbo mode, 8 cores, 16 threads and 16 MB L3 cache) and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 laptop GPU with 16 GB GDDR6 VRAM provide the necessary gaming power.

64 GB of DDR4 RAM with up to 3200 MHz and a 2 terabyte PCIe-SSD are also on the credit side. The two built-in speakers offer THX Spatial Audio, and the Medion Erazer Beast X25 also has a backlit RGB keyboard with 16.7 million colors and Intel Wi-Fi AX200 with integrated Bluetooth.

Webcam and microphone are also integrated. The 6-cell Li-Polymer battery with 91.2 Wh at least has a runtime of around three hours – but you should rarely use a gaming notebook without a power supply anyway. The Erazer Beast X25 measures 39.5 x 2.6 x 26.2 cm (W x H x D) and weighs around 2.3 kg.

Windows 11 Home is pre-installed, as is the Steam gaming software. There is also a 30-day trial version of Microsoft 365 and McAfee LiveSafe.

Medion Erazer Deputy P25: The cheaper brother

The entry-level gaming notebook Medion Erazer Deputy P25 with the model number MD64015 turns out to be considerably cheaper. Here, the manufacturer relies on a 15.6-inch LED backlight display with IPS technology including Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and 144 Hz refresh rate.

Inside the Deputy is an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor (3.2 GHz, up to 4.4 GHz, 8 cores, 16 threads and 16 MB L3 cache), and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 laptop GPU with 6 GB GDDR6 VRAM provides the necessary graphics power. In addition, there is 16 GB of DDR4 RAM with up to 3200 MHz and a 512 GB PCIe-SSD, which should make the Medion Erazer Deputy P25 suitable for many current games.

The stereo speakers with the Sound Blaster Cinema 6+ provide good acoustics, and there is also Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 with an integrated Bluetooth 5.0 function. Windows 11 Home is also pre-installed, just like Steam. Furthermore, Aldi gives you a 1-month trial membership of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with the purchase.

The Medion Erazer Deputy P25 is equipped with a 4-cell Li-ion battery with 49 Wh for up to 4 hours of runtime, measures 36.3 x 3.8 x 25.8 cm and also weighs around 2.3 kg.

Prices and availability

Both Medion Erazer Beast X25 and Medion Erazer Deputy P25 gaming laptops will be on sale in Aldi’s online store starting December 09, 2021 at 07:00. Both offers are valid while stocks last and will end on 01/01/2022 at the latest.

For the high-end Medion Erazer Beast X25 gamer, Aldi is calling a price of 2,699.00 euros. The Medion Erazer Deputy P25 is available for 1,249.00 Euros.
