MSI no longer produces AMD Radeon graphics cards

The Taiwanese manufacturer MSI is withdrawing completely from the AMD Radeon graphics card sector and will only produce NVDIA cards from the GeForce series from now on. The manufacturer has now confirmed this on request. Nevertheless, the cooperation with AMD is not being completely terminated, as the manufacturer has confirmed.

Where have they gone, the SMD Radeon RX graphics cards from MSI? The MSI Radeon RX 7900 XTX, 7900 XT and 7600 can no longer be found in stores, the custom design of the Radeon RX 7900 XT is only available on Amazon.

This was also noticed by Hardware Unboxed, which drew attention to the removal of all AMD Radeon cards from MSI’s 7000 series from the market.

Did I miss this story? MSI has been completely removed from AMD’s Radeon 7000 series, all existing products have been discontinued and they never released a 7700 XT/7800 XT. This all seems to have happened very quietly.

But the whole thing is a little strange. After all, MSI’s current gaming handheld Claw relies on an Intel Core Ultra chip from the Meteor Lake series instead of a more powerful AMD processor like many competitors among the best gaming handhelds. MSI also clearly favors Intel in the gaming notebooks. AMD is here again in the CPU and GPU segment.
