MSI releases 3 new notebook series in business & productivity segment

MSI has introduced a whole range of new laptops in its Business & Productivity product line, which are based in its own Summit, Prestige and Modern series. The new models combine increased speed thanks to 12th-generation Intel Core processors in the P series with special mobility and classy style.

New MSI business notebooks unveiled

In a livestream, the manufacturer presented the new notebook series in detail. The new P-series of 12th generation Intel Core processors provides up to double the performance of the previous generation. The new laptops of MSI’s Business & Productivity product line combine this performance boost with a classy and mobile design and exciting features.

The notebooks operate on the Intel Evo platform and Intel Iris Xe graphics, while the Summit and Prestige series also feature models with NVIDIA’s latest GeForce RTX mobile GPUs.

There are also Flip models in the Summit series, specifically the 16-inch Summit E16 Flip, as well as its smaller brothers the Summit E14 Flip Evo and Summit E13 Flip Evo, which offer a 360-degree 2-in-1 design that allows the touchscreen laptop to also be used in tablet mode. The Summit E14 Evo is also available in a classic laptop design as an option.

The new Summit Series features comprehensive security features, and combines strong performance with a mobile product design. Thanks to flip design, the laptops offer additional flexibility in business use. In addition to the existing Summit E13 Flip Evo and Summit E16 Flip models, the new Summit E14 Flip Evo and Summit E14 Evo models join the lineup this year to offer even more variety for different user needs.

MSI Summit E14 Flip

The Summit series is powered by the new Intel Core i7-1280P or Core i5-1240P processors. All models rely on the Intel Evo platform with certified user experience. The MSI Summit E16 Flip is also offered with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti or RTX 3050 Laptop GPU. This provides extra performance for demanding tasks. The screen is designed in a 16:10 format for all Summit models regardless of the size of the screen diagonals. The aspect ratio corresponds to the golden ratio and extends the work surface in height.

Two Thunderbolt 4 ports including power supply via USB-PD are available. The Wi-Fi 6E network ensures maximum data rates and increased stability with the additional 6 GHz frequency band. The Full HD webcam delivers brilliant quality in video calls. The “Noise Reduction Cam” technology enables a low-noise image even in limited lighting conditions, while the quad-array microphone with “AI Noise Cancellation” supported by artificial intelligence ensures improved sound.

Additional Security

For enterprise-level security, the Summit series offers the maximum features of implemented security features. These include a discrete TPM 2.0 and login via fingerprint scanner or infrared facial recognition. The webcam can also be disabled from the outside via a dedicated switch on the case, while an LED indicator shows webcam activity.

Security features in cooperation with Tobii and Tile are new. “Tobii Aware” offers innovative privacy protection via eye-tracking: the screen can only be displayed when the authorized user is recognized, and automatically turns off during work breaks. The “Find with Tile” technology helps locate the laptop with the aid of an acoustic signal.  If the laptop is lost away from home, the integrated Tile Tracker technology, in conjunction with the Tile app and the Tile network, enable wide-area tracking.

MSI Prestige Series at a glance

MSI’s Prestige Series combines a classy design with powerful technology. Both the MSI Prestige 15 and Prestige 14 feature a thin and lightweight aluminum chassis for maximum portability. With GeForce RTX 30 graphics, maximum performance is available for graphics-intensive applications, while the Prestige 14 Evo alternatively offers the convenience of the Intel Evo platform.

The notebooks of the series are available in two GPU versions: Either with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 graphics (3050 Ti or 3050) or with Intel Iris Xe graphics. In the case of the Prestige 15, a UHD display including True Pixel technology with a 100% coverage of the AdobeRGB color space is even offered as an option.

Additional security is provided by the face and fingerprint login features. Thanks to these features, users can log in faster without a password on the one hand, and much more securely thanks to biometric recognition.

MSI Modern Series

For the design of the slim MSI Modern Series, the company has teamed up with French illustrator Lorraine Sorlet, who is responsible for the design. According to the manufacturer, the notebooks will thus “tell four stories inspired by love, work and travel”.
