At the Mobile World Congress (MWC), we can once again admire upcoming highlights from the world of technology. OnePlus is also taking part. The smartphone expert is presenting its latest smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 2. And it seems to have an impressive battery life up its sleeve.
OnePlus Watch 2 is an endurance wonder
Technology fans are currently enjoying the MWC in Barcelona. The trade fair once again has some highlights to offer this year. For example, Xiaomi not only presented its latest smartphone, the Xiaomi 14. The Xiaomi SU7, the first electric car from the Chinese tech company, was also officially unveiled. OnePlus is another Chinese tech company represented at the trade fair. The OnePlus Watch 2 sounds very promising, as it has a lot to offer under the hood. Two processors are at work here.
While a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 is supposed to provide performance, a BES 2700 MCU takes care of rather undemanding background activities. What is this supposed to achieve? In addition to great performance, above all endurance. According to the manufacturer, the so-called efficiency chips should guarantee a full 100 hours of maximum battery life. And that’s with everyday use. With intensive use, it should be up to 48 hours. Once the battery is empty, it can be fully recharged in just one hour. The two processors are supported by 2 GB of RAM.
A total of 32 GB of storage space is available. Athletes can enjoy over 100 different tracking modes. The tracker should also be able to track your sport. Thanks to built-in sensors, you should not only be able to measure your pulse. The OnePlus Watch 2 should also be able to measure blood oxygen levels. Wear OS 4.0 from Google is used as the software. The size of the watch’s display is not yet known. However, it is said to be protected by sapphire glass. IP68 protection should also be guaranteed.
Price and availability
Even if some details about the smartwatch are still missing, those interested in the OnePlus Watch 2 should already be able to get their hands on it. The gadget is available in black and silver. The manufacturer’s RRP is 329.00 Euro. However, you can currently save 9% and get the smartwatch for 299.00 Euro.
