Besides the Mate 50 Pro, Huawei unveiled the latest smartwatch in the Watch GT-3 series on October 27. The Huawei Watch GT3 SE focuses on a particularly low weight, precise sports and health modes, and a battery life of up to 14 days.
The Huawei Watch GT3 SE in detail
After the Watch GT 3 last October and the Watch GT3 Pro in May, the manufacturer has now introduced the Huawei Watch GT3 SE. It positions itself as an entry-level model for sports and fitness enthusiasts on the market and scores with its lightweight aesthetics and comfortable strap made of sturdy rubber.
With its sporty open-cut design, the watch offers a completely new look and impresses with its multi-faceted interface design on the 1.43-inch AMOLED HD color display. It resolves with 466 x 466 pixels (326 ppi) and is particularly robust thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass including reinforced polymer fiber.
The wearable weighs just 35.6 grams without the wristband, while the case is only 11 mm thick. . The watch is available in two colors, Graphite Black and Wilderness Green, with a variety of selectable watch faces. The battery is said to last up to 14 days. Charging is thereby optional even wirelessly.
Over 100 sports modes and precise sleep tracking
The Huawei Watch GT3 SE is aimed at sports and fitness fans and comes up with over 100 sports modes. The wearable is water resistant up to 5ATM according to ISO 22810:2010 and can be used at a depth of up to 50 meters for 10 minutes. It works with five major satellite systems: GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS.
Sports modes are joined by intelligent running plans, as well as Huawei’s own TruSport science-based research system, which offers assessments and suggestions based on running data.
In addition, there is a precise health management including measurements of heart rate, SpO2 level, sleep rhythm, stress level, menstrual cycle, and much more. Huawei TruSeen 5.0+ provides accurate heart rate monitoring with increased data capacity and reduced signal loss rate.
TruSleep 3.0, on the other hand, relies on infrared light for sleep tracking and offers high accuracy of over 10 percent in sleep monitoring with automatic detection of sleep duration. The Watch GT 3 SE captures a wide range of information related to sleep, including different phases such as light sleep, deep sleep, REM and wakefulness, by analyzing multiple physiological parameters based on body movements, heart rate and HRV.
As a smartwatch, the wearable can also answer calls, offers offline map navigation, and supports various apps and games. Also offered is a smart voice assistant functions when playing music, working out or creating alarms.
Price and Availability
The Huawei Watch GT3 SE is available to order now from retailers and the Huawei Online Shop and will begin shipping on November 06, 2022. The manufacturer’s recommended retail price is 179 Euros. When buying in the Huawei store, there is an EasyFit 2 wristband (39 euros RRP) for free. For an extra €9.99, the Huawei Scale 3 (€69 RRP) is on top.
