The newly unveiled smartwatch Huawei Watch GT 3 is the successor of the popular GT 2 and offers an impressive battery life of up to 14 days. At the same time, the sensors provide precise tracking of health and fitness data.
Huawei Watch GT 3 with new sensor
The built-in TruSeen 5.0+ sensor in the Huawei Watch GT 3 is said to record health and fitness data more accurately than ever before. The eight light sensors measure health data such as heartbeat, pulse, sleep, SpO2, stress, and more much more accurately and reliably. This makes it possible to optimize workouts or improve sleep quality.
Thanks to various AI algorithms, individual training plans are created based on the user’s own fitness status and also changed dynamically after each workout – a personal coach directly on the wrist adapted to performance data such as speed, pulse rate and more. Runners will also enjoy the Running Ability Index (RAI), which provides a forecast for typical running distances and is thus an indicator of one’s own training progress.
With over 100 training modes, including 12 outdoor workouts, such as running, mountain climbing, hiking, or skiing, and 7 indoor workouts, no sporting desires are left unfulfilled. The high-precision GPS positioning supports five satellite systems: Galileo, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS and QZSS.
Due to the strong anti-interference performance, the geographic location determination is significantly more accurate and measurement data more reliable. Surfers enjoy the tide display and hikers appreciate the sunrise and sunset display. In the event of a sharp drop in air pressure, measured by the integrated barometer, the watch also issues a timely storm warning to avoid unpleasant surprises.
Impressive battery life in the GT 3
With a battery life of up to 14 days, the Huawei Watch GT 3 in the 46 mm variant is an absolute endurance runner. The smaller model with a 42 mm case gets up to seven days of continuous use.
The Watch GT 3 can be conveniently recharged with the help of the wireless charging station – or even without a charging cable thanks to reverse wireless charging via a Huawei smartphone.
The round design of the Huawei Watch GT 3 with the engraved crown is reminiscent of classic watches. The stainless steel case gives the smartwatch an elegant look and, in combination with the 2.5D glass back, offers comprehensive protection against scratches and damage.
In addition, the two variants of the Watch GT 3 are not bulky: with a total thickness of only 11 mm and 10.2 mm, respectively, and only 42.6 grams and 35 grams (each without the wristband), the watches are supposed to convince with high wearing comfort.
The two displays in the sizes 1.43 inches (3.62 cm) and 1.32 inches (3.35 cm) have grown compared to the previous model, so that content can be read even better. Thanks to OLED technology, it is also readable in increased sunlight and contrasts are reproduced in detail.
The design is rounded off by the new rotating crown of the Huawei Watch GT 3. Thanks to highly precise recognition of finger movements – even with wet hands,
This makes it even easier to navigate between the various applications of the smartwatch or scroll through the new checkerboard design of the menu. A variety of interchangeable straps, from the classic leather strap, to woven nylon straps, and customizable watch faces are also available.
Smartwatch features of the Huawei Watch GT 3
The Watch GT 3 not only cuts a fine figure during training, but is also a smart companion in everyday life. Connected via Bluetooth with the smartphone, calls can be made, accepted or answered with ready-made messages.
Music playback on the smartphone can also be controlled via the watch. Up to 500 songs can also be stored directly on the watch. Thus, music can be played on the go without the smartphone having to be present at all.
The function as a remote camera shutter release in combination with a smartphone from the manufacturer is also exciting. In addition, the smartwatch also has other useful everyday aids such as reminders for sufficient fluid intake, cycle calendar and more.
